Excellent moves, I am shocked that Trufant was willing to sign for that, in 2007 he was a superior player to Clements, Hall and Samuel, all of whom will be making more $ than Tru. He clearly gave the Seahawks a home town discount, what a guy. There definitely is a subtle advantage in getting guys who are actually from the area (Trufant is from Tacoma), they are more likely to do something like this. Makes me wonder why teams from football hotbeds like the Saints, Falcons and Texans have been limited in their abilities to do just this.

And Tatupu, probably more than any other individual for the improvement in the defense since 2005, I'm thrilled about this move as well. And the deals are frontloaded as well, meaning they'll have some more cap flexibility in a couple of years than they do now, which is just fine, most of the pieces are in place.

Good shit for them! They are a lock to retire a Seahawk. Thats great news for the family as well. Fuck moving around when you're settled in and playing for a team with fans that support you.

def a good news for seahawk fans.

it was a MUST to resign tatupu and trufant. both mean a lot to their D.

question to seahawk fans: With the signing of duckett and jones, is alexander going to be released? i guess this is the question most people are wondering about. any news on that yet?

more than likely sean "pussyfoot" alexander will be released after june 1st which means he will count less against the cap than if released earlier.* or he will be traded presumably around draft time if anybody is intersted in his old ass.* obviously the hawks made a mistake and shouldve locked up hutchison and let alexander sign a big free agent deal after his MVP season.* nice to see we locked up Truf and Lofa though.* Lofa came into my work a month ago and was hinting at him being a "seahawk for life", so im glad to see it take place. during his interview with KJR recently he said he came to seattle after being drafted with an open mind and fell in love with the area and wanted to stay here instead of trying the free agent market.* as hard as it is for me to like a cougar, trufant one of the 3 best corners in the league in my opinion and he keeps getting better with every year so far

also Ruskell has said that they are not locked in to any position on any side of the ball come draft time. so taking a running back in the first round, despite the signings of jones and ducket, is not out of the question (i.e. J Stew, or R Mendenhall) this year they have paid attention to the running game so far in the offseason (2 RB's and a RG) whereas last season they paid attention to the defense (2 safeties and a DE)
