Whats funny is that in an interview with face, he prided himself on his "talent scouting" skills. He said that these kids "have a fresh, new sound that is different". They don't sound any different than any of the other 1000 Texas acts out.

Actually Face is probably the artist I respect the most when it comes to scouting & finding talent. He's very good in that department. Most rappers just sign their homies or some nigga who aint bringing anything a half a million other rappers haven't already brought to the table.

I can't speak for this Green City project though. I got to hear it first.

I agree, i just thought it was ironic that he said that, and this album and group is ass.

man, i respect the shit out of sparkdawg's hustle. i was raised in and around the same place these green city guys are from, so i'm probably over supportive of them at times considering 90% of the shit i heard from them has been dripping with dumpster juice, IMO.

i think this project shows a lack of judgement on face's part for co-signing BEFORE HE PROBABLY EVEN HEARD IT and a lack of professionalism on the part of whoever executive produced it. the mixes/mastering is BAD. pretty unimaginative subject matter/production from front to back. there isn't one song on here that i could put or leave in rotation or that pushed the envelope creatively...i wish there was, but no.
