Well word on the streets is that 92.7 ain't gone make it. I am sure the end of its Bay Area threat has something to due with wild 94.9 shifting it's format back to high energy dance music and slowly straying away from the hard Bay shit they were playing...To the Bay artist that got trackable playlist spins out of it GOOD JOB...But as Yuk said to Game..."Game Ova"...I hope KMEL keeps up what they (for what ever reason) have started, because the Bay has had some of the hottest shit on radio by far this year...and the people have shown that they WANT to hear Bay music (think about Summer Jam). Just doing my part to add to the board. :devious:

What happened to that station that Davey D was gonna start that was supposed to compete with KMEL and go against what Clear Channel does? Did this ever come about or is it still in the works?

to be honest i thought 92.7 was coo but i didnt think it was THAT tight, i mean, they still played alot of mainstream acts (50, nas, fabolous, etc) so it wasnt like it was completely all bay shit. dont get me wrong tho, it still sux to c them go, it was a coo station....

I knew it wouldnt last because ......how are you gonna stay up when you have no commercials? no commercials no money, so of course they would be quick to sell out, and yall right from what I heard it was the same main stream bullshit n-e ways. Also I thought it was wack how they changed certain words in songs like one night I was listening to 'Freaks of the industry' and they just fucked that whole song up!

what trips me out, is on those advertisments for that station they were like a bay area radio station playing all the bay areas favorite shit .

then they showed nothing but lil jon ludacris jay z and so on

(talking bout the commercial)
