Computer Virus Coders are Jerks

This time, though, it's personal. Some idiot somewhere has created a virus that will delete all MP3 files on a computer, as well as any on an "external memory device". Why? Because like I said: virus coders are jerks.



The virus, cleverly called W32. Deletemusic, was created to attack PCs running on Windows 2000, 95, 98, Me, NT, Server 2003, XP and Vista. Which means, well, pretty much any PC. If your computer is Apple, feel free to be smug, as you seem to be safe from the threat. For now, anyway.



The nefarious worm can be spread by simply plugging an external device into any computer, thus infecting that computer. The computer can then infect any external devices attached to it.



Be careful out there, kids. I felt like I was just writing a manual on how you catch AIDS [by the way, use condoms, okay?] only the best protection is "up to date anti-virus software." And be careful about where you go plugging your external devices.



And virus-coders? Stop being such goddamned assholes, okay?

if this virus was created by the RIAA ...them mothafuckas gonna be in MAJOR DEBTS ...i may have some illegal MP3s...but i also bought over 5 thousand MP3's from itunes as well..

niggas care about computer too much. what the fuck do i care if i get a virus? like imma physically get a rash or some shit. ill call dell and make them fix it and use my laptop until then.

when i used to take far too much dxm, i used to contemplate suicide when my computer fucked up and needed reformatting or something because it meant i had to call dell in bangladesh india

i remember once after like five hours, 2 hours on the phone, and hella paper littered around me with codes and prompt keys etc etc i just wanted to jump out my fuckign window and end it all.

im better now.

why would i care about you guys?

music is easy to recover...i delete my music collections every so often and sometimes i want to save them, but fuck it..shit was free anyway

only thing ive saved is my screw cds and ill probably eventually buy them

sucks to hear for people who care, i guess
