it has nothing to do with "big bad cities" it has to do with geography and water ways i.e. the bay. check out a map and "be real". learn some geography.
east bay cites like oakland pittsburg are the bay because the bay expands to them and the have tributaries that feed into the bay. hence the bay area. no one in el cerrito or martinez can admit they are in a big bad city, but thats not what it takes to be considered bay area. its location, location, location. the bay strechs from vallejo/novato to palo alto, all bay cities. the furthest north the bay feeds is petaluma and that is a tiny water way connecting it. claim what makes u feel good though.
when u sell a house in SR u can put bay area in the description, but u aint foolin any1.

Dammit I just spent two days in Santa Rosa and no way in hell that place is part of the "Bay Area". Thats more like Eureka, Napa, Sonoma type area. Get technical all you want, but SR isn't the Bay.

Now that I think about it, I was working in the kitchen in San Quentin one morning bagging lunches, and one of the ese's working was from Santa Rosa and he was saying he's from the Bay, and the other cats in there told him hell no SR isn't the Bay Area. The debate got heated I mean some fool was saying that San Jose isn't the Bay Area either and the only places that can claim part of the Bay Area is if you're touching the water of the SF Bay. A couple other cats said if you weren't part of the original 415/510, you can't claim Bay Area.

But the universal opinion that morning was that SR isn't the Bay Area.

Okay all technical shit aside...WHAT THE FUCK is there to do there??? Where is this radio station I've been reading about from Mark 7? I let my radio scan and I don't hear anything.

Where is this club Mark 7 throws? I don't see shit for nightlife downtown on Thurs nites.

I dont' know how big SR is, but it sure does seem to have a helluva lot of homeless for (seemingly) such a small town!

Santa Rosa is much a part of the Bay as any other city if not because of geography at least because of their contribution to the Bay Area rap game namely Ray Luv and The Link Crew but don't forget 2PAc sewed alot of his oats in SR with Strictly Dope which some of the FUNXSOULJAZ were a part of. Rene from FUNXSOULJAZ has always been around the Bay. Recent contributions to the game are DJ Mark 7, Gabe from Apt. III, Kevin from AMG who now is one of the main manufacturers in the game plus the new radio station that is actually playing Bay Area rap.

Give it up to the Rose. I love it out there. Plus its hella hoes and they got their own share of funk so don't write it off as square and boring.

Peace.

Damn as I post this I miss Monday nights at Mark 7's abusing drugs and alcohol and playing with firearms.

There's breezies at the JC. I rarely see em but the homies say I need to put on my glasses on. I see a few here a few there, not one in any of classes that I've seen since the 4 semesters I've been here. I mean, if there's 50,000 students there (maybe 30,000-50,000, still alot tho) has to be some notches.
