There really are no "bad" QUINN CDs, but my rankings would go like this:
1. LIVE-N-DIRECT (1995)--his most consistent, and a definite high point for the Get Low Family. Streetwise and meaningful (even the skits are dope), this is one of the best Bay CDs. Period.
2. THE HUSTLE CONTINUES (1996)--basically, more of the same as above--Quinn still flows hard and fast, and JT gets even more polished production-wise. Another classic.
3. REPOSSESSIONS (2002)--this consists of Quinn songs that were previously only available on compilations (many now out of print). Even when he's not recording for his own CDs, Quinn makes sure he comes tight.
4. THE MIGHTY QUINN (2001)--this was a head-scratcher for many when it came out, 'cause the production was a little more mainstream than before, but give it a few listens and you'll find that Quinn is no less challenging lyrically than before. If Quinn had to go mainstream, at least he did it the best way he could...
5. DON'T CROSS ME (1993 or thereabouts)--Quinn's debut. Lyrically, this is dope, but the production might seem a little dated.
Still, it's worth checking out once you have the others.
PEACE!
