Nahh you wrong there, why you think everyone puts they videos out before they album drops ?.... For the same reason they start promotin they album before it drops! Video=promo and first week sales most of the time be the highest.
No disrespect homie but when you say it's better to put out a video after the album drops you obviously know nothing about the marketing/biz side of this game.

and with video promotion before the cd drops you get all the fans wanting to buy the cd then they all buy it in the first week, with it out after the cd drops you get the same amount of sales just scattered, you think a fan goes "this video is sick.O, its already in stores damn i aint gonna buy it then"
a couple things i wanna clear up:
we had good promotion for this album! if we didn't we wouldn't have hit 5 charts. independently in the bay, no one has sold this much first week since the 90's.
we have good radio play for hell yeah and so young! some of the places its getting played in..... i have the mediabase and bds reports to prove it. its only gonna grow especially since SAN QUINN WILL BE ON THE SWAY'S WAKEUP SHOW NEXT WEEKEND.

AS FAR AS THE VIDEO SHIT GOES:
its alot different putting out a video on an indepedent: of course u wanna have your video come out a month before your album drops but it doesn't always work that way. when u have a song that picks up and starts drawing a lot of attention and getting a lot of spins then u r forced to do a video after your album drops. as a label your goal is to get the first week sales up as high as possible. then u look at the 2nd push and other strategies to boost sales. so to answer the question if there was one, yes its better to have a video before the album but its not bad to have one after to boost sales.
the album has received some mixed reviews just from what i've seen on this internet shit. for the most part people really like the album. u cant please everyone but i know we put out a good album thats why i'm not trippin off some negative responses cuz the majority of the fans who bought this album definitely like it. like i said before its getting a real good buzz and response throughout the industry.... thats what counts, not the bart board

i was wondering why dont they release look what i done from them video. cause i saw that video on the net and it was tight. i dont know why the quinn album got mix reviews. i just got my copy yesterday and listen to it 1 time and i thought that shit was off the chain. i like how quinn speaks the real and has interesting topics and i thought the production on the album was real good.
