did they sample the song from someone else? cause i just heard them use the beat on Freestyle friday

daaaamn that stat quo song SUCKS! i was listening to my mp3s on shuffle as always and checkmate 1 came up and i remembered there was a thread bout that song's beat was sampled so i found this thread again and DLed the song.. and i had to comment back saying how bad the original one was hahah

san quinn and ya boy makes the song sound so muuch harder, they fit the beat hella more. stat's alriight, but his voice don't match the beat..

and no wonder why checkmate was only on future of the franchise, i thought it was gonna end up in the rock when rookie of the year came out cause it was a slapper.. now i know whyy, both checkmate 1 and 2 are fuckiiin slappers though!! i can't decide which ones better haha

^^ i actually thought that at fiirst.. but i listened to it more and it slaaaps. ya boy's verse and chorus is siick, as with the original. checkmate 1 is more hard though, i thiink.
