it's a tight song that should've hit the radio around the country. it's from the mighty quinn which came out around august of 2001. it's a pretty good cd. and the bitch who's singin the chorus isn't from destiny's child but she sounds like her.

It was cool. The only thing that ruined it for me was they stopped the beat at every chorus and Quinn would scream "GIVE IT UP GIVE IT UP GIVE IT UP GIVE IT UP!" Still a good song.

Yeah, dope song. It was a head-scratcher for me at first, but I tried listening to it again a week ago, and it's on hit! If Done Deal can hook up with someone that can get them more exposure, "Give It Up" (or a song like it) would be a good way to hit the national scene (or how 'bout "Hard To Get" from the Done Deal Fam?). It's a radio song that you can enjoy just as much as the more street-oriented songs on THE MIGHTY QUINN.

IMHO, this is proof that radio songs don't have to be "wack." Other examples from the past would include Spice 1's "Welcome To The Ghetto", E-40's "Sprinkle Me", Cube's "It Was A Good Day", and Tupac's...well, ANY of his radio/video hits ("I Get Around", "How Do u Want It?", "I Ain't Mad At Ya", "Temptations"...name your favorite).

Oh, yeah--according to the credits, the woman singing on the chorus is named MEILANI...PEACE!
