SAN QUINN AND YUKMOUTH FUCKIN' WITH SO CAL ARTIST?

:siccness: When I was in L.A. and San Quinn was on the radio station out there talkin about his new moves he's makin, his album and other stuff. He started shoutin out people like E-40, DJ Quik, Dr. Dre, Yukmouth, The Fed, Mac Dre (RIP), Kurupt, and Daz, and then he said he wanted to send a special shout out to his L.A. homeboy Immense.

Now I know that San Quinn has a song with Immense but on dubcnn and allhiphop they said that Yukmouth has recorded with Immense too.
Since some of the bosses are supporting dude I was wondering this:

I'ma mess with him just because he's from the West Coast but I just don't like how some of the major guys from So Cal don't fuck with Yay Area artists. But I do look forward to any west coast artist's album.

Will the bay support him and how do yall feel about supporting a So Cal rapper. ...what yall think?

Me too, As long as the music is good I'll buy it. But for a L.A. rapper to get co-signed by two of the Bay's greatest definitely says something and is almost unheard of these days. The last time a Bay Area great gave his stamp of approval on a L.A. artist was when JT brung out Game. Game went on to sell millions of records. Thats good but Game should have done more for JT the Bigga Figga for introducin him to the Bay Area.

i've slept on alot of L.A./SD rappers lately but thanks to DubCnn & West Coast Rydaz, they've been shinin some light to some of the hottest tracks coming ouf of so. cal.

thanks to yuk's UGOA V. 2 and the track Cali G'z i've been more and more xposed to Crooked I's music. The dude has so much heat.
I like it when bay rappers collaborate with artists from Houston, L.A., Sand Diego, Washington, Kansas City, New York, Chicago, Florida and other states because it seems as if when artists collab with artists outside of their own state they make some classic tracks.

I'll never understand why people think that. Game or any other artist for that matter is not under any obligation to do anything extra than what is stated in his contract.

Somebody was saying something similar about Keyshia Cole a while back. She went on 106 & Park and didn't mention Oakland artists. Mufuckas got mad at that for some reason.

Immense To Introduce Himself On New Mixtape - January 6, 2006 By : Lil Jay

West west y'all. You know who it is, no need for a proper introduction... This being my first update on dubcnn, I'd like to take the time to introduce you to Immense.

The South Central rapper is one of the most sought after rap artists to come out of the West Coast since the Game. He has already established himself as one of the most compelling and accomplished artists to come out of the Los Angeles hip hop scene in recent years. He's worked hand in hand and has been mentored by some of the West Coast's most legendary artists.

Exclusively handpicked by Kurupt, he's also been schooled over the years by legends such as rap artist CJ Mac, super producers Tone Toven, Battlecat, and DJ Uneek.

While the world waits patiently for his full length debut solo album (in which he has recorded songs with the likes of Kurupt, Petey Pablo, Yukmouth, etc.), record labels have already began negotiating. As of today, 5 record labels have already entertained offers for signing him, including Capitol, Death Row, Get Low, and Rap-A-Lot.

Immense offers a small sample of what is to come from him with the release of his new mixtape "Kurupt Introduces Immense: Protect the West Mixtape Vol. 1" Hosted by DJ AE. This mixtape is 100% free and will be available as a free download here on Dubcnn. Immense appears on 3 of the tracks from this West Coast inspired mixtape compilation that also features Kurupt, C-Bo, Yukmouth, Jayo Felony, Snoop Dogg, Too Short, King T, Hittman, Layzie Bone, Bosko, Messy Marv, Yukmouth, and many more. The 3 songs that Immense appear on are mostly unreleased tracks from his archives, but offers a solid background for the fans who will be able to see the evolution of this artist between now and the time his major label album gets released in 2006.

The "Protect the West Mixtape Vol. 1" will be available February 1st.

Kurupt's Protege Immense Presents "Protect The West" Double CD Mixtape! (Download)
April 4, 2006 by nando

Immense is a young LA rapper who has been working behind the scenes in the music industry for the last 6 years. After attempting to organize a westcoast reunion compilation and tour which never saw the light of day due to industry politics and distribution troubles, he still had the drive and blueprint to formulate a project that would unify the entire westcoast, from the northern-most area all the way to the south of California. Immense goes on to explain, "One day in 2005 I just decided that I wanted to try to do another album that can start the process of the West Coast reuniting and becoming one. So I got on the phone and started calling my homeboys in this rap game. They was all in love with the idea and this is what came from it -- Kurupt presents Immense: Protect the West (West Coast Mixtape Vol.1)!!! An album by the West Coast for the West Coast... and everyone else who rides with us!"

What is Kurupt's role in all this? Immense views Young Gotti as a mentor and teacher to him in the rap game and in life in general. "Kurupt is one of my mentors in this game. I'm fortunate to have a lot of cats on my team who I can get knowledge whenever I need it. CJ Mac, Tone Toven, Battlecat, Suge Knight, Big U, DJ Uneek all help me man! I ride for them and they all ride for me!

But Kurupt takes me with him to the studio to watch how he put things down, explains things to me and coaches me on bringin out the best from myself. He alwayz make sure that I understand that if I need somethin, then just call him. He's very bright and alwayz helpful to me. I'm very fortunate and appreciative to be able to be taught by a legend like him. I'm even more blessed to have him present me in this rap game. To put his name behind me and tell the fans that 'Yo Immense is my boy, so accept him like you accept me and the Pound!' means the world to me and I'm dedicated not to let him down," said Immense about the DPG vet.

In response to certain rumors floating around that Immense was signing to, or negotiating a deal with a supposed west coast division of Roc-A-Fella, Immense had this to say:

"Man that's an interesting situation. But I just tell everyone who ask me that it's just a rumor. Just like me BEING SIGNED TO DEATHROW! But I won't say too much but I will say this. Just like they say: "all rumors have some truth to it"....so the world will just have to wait and see how this story unfolds. But on the real....they don't call me the King Of L.A. for nothin! And big ups to my boy Po-Z and my girl Ruby Red at Def Jam! And big ups to my boy Dro (we fitta makes some real noise in this game man!)"

Immense also just recently released a mixtape dvd titled "Who Is Immense" He's also hard at work on a music video and 2 upcoming DVD projects. Album-wise, Immense has already collaborated with Kurupt, Yukmouth, San Quinn, and Petey Pablo on original tracks. A few producers that Immense has called on are Tone Toven (Bun B, Lil' Flip, Chamillionaire), E5 (Ray-J) and Rome (RBL Posse's Right Way Productions).

Now without further delay, we present the entire project for download!!!

Yeah And the nigga be fuckin with JT the Bigga Figga and Thizz Ent. Thats the nigga who's responsible for the whole Bay Area Mic Pass. The dude fuck with a lotta Bay cats. His new mixtape Kurupt presents Immense: Protect the West Vol.2-"United We Stand, Divided We Fall" is hosted by the Bay's very own DJ E Rock. Yall know who E Rock is. Thats the dude that put out Yumkmouth's Mixtape, E-40's mixtape, and The Bay Bidness mixtape with DJ Whoo Kid. So it's obvious that the Bay Support this nigga rather he from L.A or not.
