Co-sign, the CD is DOPE, production is clean throughout and it was beats that really complimented Quinn's flow. I ain't gonna say anything about The Rock but Quinn was really flowing on this one like it was his kind of music.

I was feeling it to the fullest - only one recycled track that I recognised, that Bay Is In The Area joint with Cozmo. Don't worry about the features being kinda watered down, it let Quinn do his thing.

I'm curious to know from DD Kenny or anyone who can speak on it, assuming these songs were bought by Frisco Street Show to put out this CD.. for what album were they originally recorded or intended?

They sound like they coulda been on "I Give You My Word" and believe me that's a compliment. By the way, one other observation, on the opening track Killa Keise sounds hella like Guce. I thought it was him for a minute.

Seriously though! Done Deal is not very good at marketing at all. HOw in the hell did we not find out about this cd? I did a few days ago, but not an official message.

Done Deal puts out good music, so why the heck can they not market themselves well? I know they say that Done Deal Kenny is a good manager and all, but everytime he says something on here he never follows up with things.

He mentioned that he was going to announce his new lineup back in the day and never did. He told us all that he was going to post pictures of the done deal vs. thizz basketball game and never did and now this new album comes out and no one knows about it. To me this shows that the management is not helping their artist succeed with sales.... This is not the 1st time this has happened with them. Hell if they dont want to spend the money to advertise, then they can at least do it for free on here by telling us people, but that evern seems difficult for them....

sorry to sound so negative...just telling the truth!

^^ dude, chill... its not a DD product, its unofficial, I guess the tracks were bought off Quinn or the label, it's put out by Frisco Street Show, they've been buying tracks from a lot of artists lately and putting out CD's in their name.
That's not a bad thing, these are good tracks, like I said, it sounds like they were made for I Give You My Word. FSS promotion isn't that big, and plus this CD only just dropping.

What do you mean chill? I brought up a good point just like yo have in the past. I didn't tell you to chill! My point is legit. I have been explaining my opinion on this now for a while. Let's just say that if I ran a label, I would do things a lot differently. I would have these boards poppin and I would them cravin my label's music....

he just invalidated your point. its not an official deal done release, therefore deal done won't push it like they do an offical release. you are wrong.

Sorry cuzz... fair comment. It was a good point, I just thought it was worth squashing the idea that DD did wrong pretty quickly, since that wasn't the case and they read this board.

I feel ya on handling promotion but in the case of Frisco Street Show, if they just pay for the tracks off hot artists, I guess that's their business plan, it's all relative profit, you don't need to market something if your profit on buying some tracks and putting out a CD is the same as an official CD with marketing. Pz....

I am not wrong pal...you are! Don't tell me I am wrong you here..... We are all entitled to our own opinions here and there is nothing factual that shows I am wrong. It's a personal preference I'd say...

Still if it isnt theirs, they still have quinn on thier label and they shouljd still let people so they know about it. If you get them to like that album, they will be Quinn fans for life and therefore they will buy done deal cds all the time. Please..some of you people need to wake the fuck up and think about some marketing. I know what I am talking about here....

No worries man! It's all good. I understand what you mean. I just still think they should be promoting their artist, even thought if it wasn't their project. By doing what I am talking about would just get Quinn more money.

This is not the 1st time that I have disagreed with their promotions and marketing. On their own message board, they dont keep their fans aware of what's going on, who is on their roster, etc. I know who they have, but I know they just signed some new rappers. If that was my label, the new signings would be all over that board and all the other bay area rap boards.

That doesn't cost them shit and they will make more money by keeping people informed. I have my masters in Marketing and I know what I am doing here...I am not just saying dumb stuff that doesn't make any sense....
