LOL im tellin it how it is, ive lived in the north, downtown, and in the southside. dont get butt hurt fag. im saying the eastside is known for being the most hood in SJ. yea other parts in sj got hood parts but their not as big or known as much as the eastside. shit even fucking dublin has bad neighborhoods, but that dont make them ghetto. and u sound like its cool for your side, whatever the hell u live to be "poppin" last time i checked it aint cool to live in a ghetto neighborhood, grow up.
I agree, it isn't cool to live in the hood. Only thing good about it, is it builds characte...other than that, it's just an unnecessary risk.
I've lived in the burbs AND the hood in San Jose...and I'd rather stay in the burbs. I mean, the hood was cool 'cause we could be drunk and loud as fuck in the middle of the street at 3 AM, and nobody would call the rollers 'cause nobody wanted them there. On the other side of that, you have to be weary of your surroundings at all times....keep everybody on the block at arms length and stash somethin' next to the bed in case folks want to act up.
The one thing I hate about the nice side of things, is it's too quiet. When there's no noise, I don't feel comfortable...but if there's a few sirens it's easier for me to stay calm and relax...some weird shit. But, in the long run, it's a lot nicer. Seeing both sides of the tracks, there's nothing good that comes from bad areas unless you have your head on straight, period! Doesn't matter if you're from Compton or East San Jose...if you have the fight in you, it's in you...if you're a poodle, you'll be a poodle wherever you live. If you have the brains, you'll know what you need to do and what you need to be down for in order to live your life...
