sonoma state is actually an impacted school...and getting a lot harder to get into, but yeah, the area blows ass. I applied to 8 state schools, and have seen almost all of them. San Jose was the only school that didnt send me anything saying i got in, so fuck them, i want my 55 bucks back. it was weird...cuz i got into Chico, and everyone knows how fat that school is for partying...but after looking at it...that city is TRASH! theres nowhere to go! i didnt wanna be a junior there and still doing hte same shit. SF is SF...theres a million things to do, and u can go anywhere in the bay area...i am not a huge fan of school, i hated high school, but i love SF State...the one bad thing is, is that its practically in Daly City, so like someone said, its not in the coolest area. as for the girls, its 28,000 students, with a 3 to 1 ratio. as for parties, there are a few frat parties, and some smaller house parties, but nothing like ur gonna find in a small college town. the best parties IVE been to, have been in San Luis Obispo, that place is crackin, and u dont have ANY cops, and u dont have to walk a lot of places from the school. its kinda like Santa Barbara, but SB has more cops, and u gotta drive some places. anyway, i'll post more later.
just to add, this is what i do on a normal week....school mon-thurs, and maybe go out wednesday or thursday in the city, usually just hit up a couple clubs on wednesday, maybe try and find a party or frat thursday. then, friday and saturday, i usually head back to marin, cuz i always find somethin goin on there.

If you are a Business major, then you shouldn't go to SFSU. I am currently attending SF State pursuing an Business Accounting Degree.. and all I gotz to say is that the Business Dept. suck!!! The teacher don't teach well and don't offer good guidance! I highly recommend that you go to Hayward since the business school there is 3x better plus you'll get out faster (it's hard to get business classes at SFSU). I have about 10 classes left and if I were to transfer out i'd have to take 3 additional classes and pay more since im under some kind of military benefit where i don't pay shit. Anyway in the Business Dept at SFSU, they got some new policies for Prerequisite classes.. YOU CAN ONLY PASS THE BUSINESS CLASSES WITH A C- OR BETTER! D+ and less are considered as failing. You will be only allowed to retake the business class TWICE (withdrawals included)! If you fail the second time you have to change your major! The policy was implemented just this semester so its something new. Anyway, if you are a business major, consider some other school. TRUST ME ON THAT!
