how are you going to add pop, you guys cant afford any1.
How do you figure with half of the team coming off the books? The Giants will have money to spend...whether they use it wisely remains to be seen.

is he a big prospect? power hitter in minors? i know he had those 9 rbls in one game
yea he led the minors with a .380 (or something like that) BA this year. he struggled in his first stint up in the bigs this year, went down for a while, came back up when rosters expanded, and did a damn good job. his power is definitely coming along, but power or not, the kid can hit.

dont get me wrong...i like nomar, but we can save a lot of money by just going with loney and using the money in FA on a power bat (soriano, lee, etc.) or a pitcher (zito, schmidt...). and nomar still hasnt proven that he is healthy enough to demand a multi-year contract w/o incentives.

i heard somewhere and please correct me if i am wrong that the Giants have limited money spending capabilities because of their payments on the stadium?

if what i heard is correct and i am assuming it is, than that is why i say that dont have the moeny to go out and spend

^^Kemp definitely won't be starting next year, and Repko is a long shot
repko was the starter this year until he got injured early in the season

and unless we go out and get a big bat i think they (kemp and/or Repko platoon) got a shot at CF, because i am pretty sure we wont keep loften (as good as he has been for us this year)

and as for loney i am a believer in him but at this point i would still take Nomar as long as he isnt demanding TOO much money and too many years contract. and keep loney as a left side bench bat.

kemp need to cut down on his strike outs but he isnt very far from the majors. since being sent down to AAA Las Vegas he batted something like .370

he looks absolutely lost at the plate. he needs at least a year in the minors.

and that .370 isnt over a very long period of time. and dont forget the PCL is very much a hitters league.
