I agree that sum parts of the city are crazy but the sunset, lake merced , etc are pretty chill. I'm was raised in the park/lake Merced area n it's a good balance of chill and city. The peninsula is nice tho, my moms moved out there a few years ago and it's chill cept cops r dicks cuz they got nothing to do

Cost of Living wise if you were making 50,000 a year in Denver.

You would need to make 82,000 to maintain your current standard of living in San Francisco.

You would need to make 71,000 to maintain your current standard of living in Oakland.

go to this website and enter your income. Pick the city you currently live in and then pick a city you would like to live in. It will show the price differences in anything from rent to cartons of milk..

Mt View is 90% cool.. there is a lil neighborhood there that aint really a 'hood' but more of a dirty low income welfare section 8 havin', shopping carts all up in the complex leavin, roosters in your apartment complex crowin', police rollin, DUMP. ( 1 bedroom in that area is $1K a month )

The street is called Evandale & I lived there for a year & it sucked ass.
But I had a year long lease.

But other then that Mt. View is a nice, middle to upper calss, mostly Indian & middle eastern engineers n shit. ( nicer areas 1 bedroom apts are about 1350 to 1550 monthly )

Leave your Denver Pony's jerseys in Denver, homie.

We bleed red and gold around here.

Couldnt tell you much about SF, other then the nightlife cause even though I live 30 mins from it, ..it's still just a tourist attraction for me.

My take: Dont move there if you drive a stick shift, cause the streets are retarded.

Also, get GPS cause there are more 1 way's there then anywhere I ever been.

i'm not even gonna read the whole thread...

if you can afford to live in SF, do it, it's a great experience...one of the dopest cities on earth.

don't think twice...there isn't anything special about mountain view, at all.

Thx much for all this input, we are going to sit down this weekend and browse house listings and such and see if it will be a feasible move for us.

I wouldn't move to San Francisco. Man that city is congested like a mf and has confusing as one way streets. It's a cool city to visit on a family outing or club outing but everyday life in Frisco would be hectic.

the outskirts of sf are alright. the only thing wack about that shit is the fog rolls in pretty hard and it gets cold early

i lived offa 43rd and anza a few years back, not too bad of a neighborhood.....and theres a safeway right next to the beach..not that youll eb using the beach much its still nice to see

i know rents fairly cheap out that way depending on what cheap is to you

i hired a third party to find the apartments for me and shit..i forgot the name of the place but its in fillmore somewhere

worked pretty well actually, i had 48 hours to find a place due to gettin kicked out the dorms and shit

i just would keep my kid away from certain areas like i said and beyond that its a nice place

theres no point to living in the city if you have a CHOICE to live in Mtn View.

The real question is, are you gonna BUY a house or RENT?

here is a coo ass site to find bay area real estate, you can drag the map all around and compare houses/prices.

http://www.redfin.com/search#uipt=1&sf=1,2&status=1&max_price=950000&num_beds=3&num_baths=2&v=4&lat=37.40016459069333&long=-122.08179473876953&zoomLevel=13&market=sanfrancisco

for a fellow broncos fan...

haha

thx
