yeah aint shit compared to denver and shit where it snows.. but when youve lived here and the coldest it used to get was like 40-50 and all of a sudden it starts to get lower every year you're no longer used to it.

^ Truth. Mountain View all the way.

Its a central location, so you're not too far from anything either, without the hustle and bustle of the city. Plus, its a bit more affordable than SF.

But definitely more ideal for raising kids in.

So my wife just got informed they are closing the office here in colorado and moving her job. She can accept a transfer to New York City, Chicago, San Fran or Mountain view.

So tell me a little about these CA cities, I really dont want to leave denver but she would make more money out there than here, and I am sure I could easily find a job in my field almost anywhere so....

How exspensive are thses cities, housing, gas, good schools???? etc so enlightment!
jus go on craigslist.com and search california bayarea southbay and ull find houseing prices..

Your best bet is relocating to the great City of San Francisco. Remind your wife to ask for a cost of living increase. Renting and gas are expensive. Rent I believe is second only to New York. But you gotta pay to play. Get a spot near public transportation (BART not muni) either in SF proper or down the peninsula where its a little cheaper.

You'll have the time of your life out here. By the time you get here it will be spring. That means baseball season, neighborhood festivals (Haight, North Beach, Marina, Carnaval in the Mission), concerts, good weather, lots of outdoor parks and places to kick it.

I've never really been out in Mountain View... but fuck living in SF... just trying to drive around the city alone is enough for me to not wanna live there

I love goin out there for the day... or hittin up a club every now and then... but I couldn't do it everyday

although if you're gonna be rockin Donkey fuckin colors... maybe Frisco would be better... seeing as there is gonna be more Niners fans... Mt. View is right by San Jo and I think there would be more Raiders fans out that way

This is a hard one.

Now, if she relocated to SF, she could easily get to the city and live around / near it

SF has a more urban feel definitely, more bums, more crime, but also more culture and definitely its a lot more poppin in SF

Mountain view and that area has alot more 'hispanic' feel to it, just because the surrounding cities and areas, San Mateo, Redwood City, etc. have sizable hispanic populations.

Id say if youre lookin for a more 'nightlife' type experience go SF, if youre lookin more to chill Mountain View is the area

Its weird cause every city / area has its own feel

If she moves to SF, you can live in Pacifica / daly city/ south city, or san bruno

If you need sunshine and warm days, stay away from the SF/Peninsula area

Peninsula cities:
Pacifica - more white folks, asshole cops, nice scenery, lot of fog
Daly City - alot of asian people, not much happening, giant bedroom community, foggy as fuck, moreso than Pacifica
South City - diverse, also somewhat of a bedroom community, gets cold and windy often
San Bruno - you can either live in the 'lower income' area or the 'bedroom community' area, lower income area (east of the tracks/aves) has best weather

the only problem with san francisco is that sooner or later your kids gonna see some crazy ass shit, youre really gonna just explain to your daughter that the homeless dude that just screamed at her at the red light and waved his dick at the car is just crazy and not to be bothered by it

like lock your fucking kids up the day of the gay parade and its not even about them not knowing about the gay community its just that they do some raunchy ass shit in public.

theres all types of shit youre gonna have to explain to your kid that honestly, kids shouldnt even be seeing early in age. transexuals and blow jobs in the street, drug addicts and random psychopaths, i mean i guess when youre with the kids, youll have to really limit where you go...the shit i saw on my first day alone was crazy. any person ive ever taken to sf i had to explain something eventually, like 'its just like that here...'

the first day i came to frisco there was some shit on the news saying some nigga was goin around biting homeless kids in their sleep..i was like..what the fuck?

outer richmond/outer sunset is cool imo because its out of the general area of evil

ive rarely if ever, see children in san francisco and its for a good reason
