its a ceremonial gun.. only really used for wall decorations or ceremony events. wouldnt do us gangsters too good. might wanna hold on to it for another 10-20 yrs and see what its worth. maybe start a generation pass down with it or somethin

that guns too old & most likely too expensive, you can find a ak47 for around 3. which is the sks's replacement gun.

wrong wrong wrong wrong.

Besides, you can get an SKS for cheaper than an AK, and they have better aim.

Well i was just lookin to see what cali cats was payin for it. It has a longer barrel then the AK uses the same ammo, so it has more power. Sks is a good gun and common like the AK so you can change the stock and all that shit. Well never really wanted to sell but was just wondering. Thanx

Everything you said about the SKS was wrong. Isn't that whats being talked about?
The SKS is a Soviet semi-automatic carbine chambered for the 7.62x39mm round, designed in 1945 by Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov. SKS is an acronym for Samozaryadniy Karabin sistemi Simonova (Russian: Самозарядный карабин системы Симонова), 1945 (Self-loading Carbine, Simonov's system, 1945), or SKS 45. The Soviets rather quickly phased the SKS carbine out of first-line service, replacing it with the AK-47, but it remained in second-line service for decades afterwards. It remains a ceremonial arm today. It was widely exported and produced by the former Eastern Bloc nations, as well as China, where it was designated the "Type 56", East Germany as the "Karabiner S" and in North Korea as the "Type 63". It is today popular on the civilian surplus market in many countries. The SKS was one of the first weapons chambered for the 7.62x39mm M43 round later used in the AK-47 and RPK.
