"RIP to Bay Area Rap Music" that thread started by Terrapatch. question is how many people actually have bought music from a new artists? People are going to the same artists that let them down before and mad because they are dissappointed. You dont go to the cemetary to find live shit. Go to the artists that produce consistently good stuff. If they fall off, dont keep going back. Also, take a chance on a new artist.
The bay is not dead until the consumers stop buying local music. THEN its dead. So the question is, who on the siccness actually buys music from newer artists (not people in your camp). If people on a underground rap forum don't buy it... then who the fuck will.
I'd like to see the replies from people to this questions: What rap CD's from new artists have you BOUGHT lately and how was it. If everybody would stop sukin they own dick, self-promotin they own shit, maybe we could separate the real from the fake and support some new talent. Stop yaywhooin about marginally talented CD's.... cuz then its all a blur. But when there comes some good shit from newer artists, people gotta support em.
Also if the reviews come from the people who put it out (or in they camp)... its probably biased and bullshit. If the reviews come from different people, cities, magazines, tastes... and they all say its hittin'..... then that CD's prolly cool.

ps....that little city called Richmond is startin to make some noise.
