greg street made a good point, alot of people don't know what it takes to complete a project..

that being said, don't brag about shit you got when there are starving people all over the world..

It wouldn't be "gangsta" rap if they didn't do those things. If they don't do those things, then in their fans' eyes, they aren't KEEPIN' IT REAL. How many fans of "gangsta" rap can attest to the same kind of behavior though? Its like if a rapper doesn't have a weapons charge, hasn't been arrested for possession, or isn't duckin' and dodgin' the Feds, then they aren't KEEPIN IT REAL (or HOOD). At the end of the day, the record companies are gettin' a bigger piece of the pie, leavin' the "gangsta" rappers fightin' cases, or in the worst case scenario dead.

For me that isn't the case. I'm all for people doing positive shit and being legit, contributing to the greater good of humanity. I enourage it 24/7.

I just find it disrespectful when people claim a certain lifestyle and gain money from it then have the nerve to brag about it, when there are people who really suffered from this shit.

The rap game has been like the WWE for a long time now, so for the most part it's enjoyable.

I wasn't a huge Rick Ross fan but that MMG Selfmade vol 1 was something ridiculous. I fucks wit it. Ross got some spits but his voice is kind of boring imo, reminds of the way Dr Dre sounds when he raps.

It's the guest features that make this album go... Without the features Ross's albums would sound boring and repetitive.


I'm beginning to think no artist has the ability to put out an album totally consisting of that artist. Just another mainstream compilation... It's getting old.
