why are people defending rick rawse so much?

not everytime you make fun of something it's hate.. that is the most over used word in hip-hop

hate is grabbing a dudes baby by the legs and smashing it against a tree while he watches, not making fun of a hollywood actor lol

we make fun of the other hollywood actors why are the rappers off limits?
What's there to defend? I am simply pointing out that dudes discredit Ross so much because he was CO.....

He makes good music.

Michael Jackson made classic ass hits About woman before he even touched one and while he was molesting children.

All I'm saying is enjoy the music or don't and move on

I think we can all agree, that he drops quality music. Not everybodys taste, but nobody can say it's trash. When I was younger I'd prolly never gave him a chance because of the CO taking another mans personality thing, but now I just bump music without thinking of the persons street cred.

This album is good, I have to let it soak in a bit more. Only had it playing in the backround, but some tunes had a DJ Quik vibe to them, and right now is summer, so I'm gonna bump this in my car...

It's just funny how much people try to stress authenticity in art and entertainment.

I guess I just disagree there. What's crazy is how much people under-stress authenticity in art and entertainment. I mean, that's how fans connect with artists. Like I've said on other threads... I understand people have their own opinion though, and if you like his stuff, listen to it. No hate towards you, or any other fan.

Most rappers out there aren't doing what they're talking about anyways. At the end of the day its just entertainment. I take the music for what it is. If I like it, I like it. I don't care if everything they say is true. As far as rock Ross goes, he's not a great rappers, but he has the ability to make good music, good beats, good hooks, and being good enough at rapping. I'll check this out for sure.

tbh i really don't know how many fans of gangsta rap can actually connect with artists they like, since most of the fans are middle class white people

rick ross music right now is like this montage

I gotta say this was a well-produced album, almost on par with Nas' latest. I think I kept 5 tracks from Nas' and I'm keeping 4 from this one. I don't think a track ('911') has got me so hyped since Waka's 'Grove St. Party'

I'm keeping Sixteen (goddamn 3 Stacks went off for like 4 minutes, I know the internet is talking about that one), 911 (super banger), So Sophisticated (super banger), and Triple Beam Dreams (dope)

I have heard some tracks. Beats are dope delivery is dope. And let's be honest here. No one complained this hard about Dr. Dre and Ice Cube. Them niggaz never banged a day in their life but just rapped about what was going on around them. And that was okay. It's all entertainment. That is the same thing that Rick Ross is doing.

No one is super thug all the fucking time.
