No Limit covers are classic...
That's actually true. No matter how cheesy the NL covers looked, they branded their seal in Hip Hop history. Proven fact by people's statements on this thread, or even in conversation about cheesy covers, NL comes up.
That's what I'm talking about when I say I like the unrealistic covers. Not being a NL fan (actually own about 3 NL albums, I think), I always looked forward to the NL covers in the Hip Hop magazines each month in the 90's when NL was scortching.
Snoop Dogg actually changed the game for NL when he dropped his sophmore album (on NL), "
No Limit Top Dogg," he asked that Master P let him have creative control on that album cover. That was the first NL release album cover (since they blew up on a major status), to not have the fake surroundings. Reguardless of how you see it, they still made their money.
Soulja Slim: Give It 2 'Em Raw, was actually a cover I talked trash about and chucked it to the side at the record store back in the day. Until one of my Homies was bumpin' it and I was like, "Who the fuck is that? Shit's tight!" LOL!!!! Needless to say, I went out and bought the Cd...still got it too (one of my all time favs.) and bump it from time to time.
