Snug Brim is the only artist to bring Rich the Factor and Tech N9ne together on a track. The song is called "Mr. Steep Pockets" and it is one of the those KC classics that can't be denied. R.I.P. to Richard Holliwell (Runaway Records), if it wasn't for Richard putting up the finances the song never would have happened. Produced by Icy Roc (of course), he did two versions of the song. One was a sampled beat from N.W.A. "Dopeman", the other was released on Snug Brim's debut solo album. (can't think of the name) I personally liked the sample version, it was more grittier and street than the album version imo. If someone at Strange reads this, ya'll gotta rerelease this muthafuckin song. Holla at Rich, holla at Icy Roc, do what ya gotta do, but this is one of those songs that didn't get out to the public the way it should have. "Mr. Steep Pockets" is some shit that's still in my head till this day. Help a real music fiend out pleeeeease.

A little ot, but I'd never heard of Rich the Factor until a month ago when a client called. He was selling semi-bootleged ringtones of local artists out of his pager/phone store. He was trying to work with the local artists to compensate them, but RTF wouldn't call him back. Eventually they worked it out and my client stopped selling for a while. It was a big seller (bitch quit callin). I worked up some contracts and diligence for my client and he's going back to RTF. Dude was selling a lot of ringtones for this guy.

I was surprised how much street reputation this guys got in KC. I checked out his myspace and it's not bad. I'm not a fan of the "marble in your mouth" rap. But it's got good production value and some nice hooks.

From IcyRoc:

"I did two versions of the song neither of them contained any samples from dopeman... so i dunno what the fuck that cat is talking about... maybe he did the song with them other cats at the other label he was at before i met him... "

So there you go.... it was half true.
