I was worried about how that beating from Tito would affect his psyche. A lot of fighters have a hard time coming back from fights like that and Mayorga seems to be another one. He now realizes he isn't invincible. He sounds like a totally different person in the article. i think for the first time he realized that he can potentially be seriously hurt or killed fighting the wrong person.

Damn, Trinidad's nickname should now be CAREER KILLER instead of Tito. look at the fighters he's put out to pasture: Fernando Vargas, David Reid, and now Ricardo Mayorga.

Does this make you guys re-evaluate his heart? Granted, he did his thing during the fight, but it appears he can dish out punishment but not take it....

Yep. He can dish it out but he can't take. Look at the end of round 1 he almost got knocked out. No jab or defense what so ever. I think he has heart and can swing. He's like a toughman champ.

^ No. He just moved up 2 weight classes and took a fight with Trinidad. He gassed more than anything...watch your boy give him his best shot in the 1st round and watch Mayorga laugh and dance at it lol and LMAO@Mayorga 'not taking what he can dish out'. Which fight were you watching?

Mayorga under house arrest in Nicaragua

MANAGUA, Nicaragua -- Former welterweight champion Ricardo Mayorga returned home Wednesday after a loss to Felix Trinidad and almost immediately was ordered under house arrest.

Mayorga, knocked out in a middleweight bout Saturday in New York, surrendered in court to face sexual abuse charges. A 20-year-old woman last month accused the boxer of rape. He acknowledged having sex with her at a hotel but said it was consensual.

Accompanied by a dozen bodyguards, his mother and his lawyer, Mayorga walked into court as supporters cried ``Let him out!'' and critics shouted back at them: ``Accomplices!'' Judge Marta Lorena Martinez placed him under house arrest and posted a bond of $9,000.

Prosecutor Odette Leyton said Mayorga should have been sent to prison pending trial. Bertha Ines Cabrales of the Women's Network Against Violence said she was surprised by the number of people who came to cheer the boxer.

"It is a disgrace that so many youths have become accomplices of a rapist," she said. "It's a disgrace that our society covers up a crime depending on who commits the crime."

On Tuesday, Mayorga told Nicaraguan reporters who had accompanied him to New York that he was retiring from boxing. He has a record of 27-5-1.

King talks out of his ass most of the time, trying to do pre-promo and promo to get rich off the fighters. I think Mayorga will be back after his jail sentence.

That's why his legs were wobbly. That fool caught a hook to the jaw and almost got knocked out. You see he only gave Tito a free shot or two. Why didn't he continue to do that through the fight? And why did he go to the hospital after he left the ring?

^ Why should he even continue to hand over points to Trinidad like that after proving his point? So what if he ONLY gave Putito 2 free shots, thats still TWO more than Trinidad gave lol Besides you know what would happen to Tito if he stuck his chin out like that, thats why he wouldnt even dare try. Even the commentators were baffled at Mayorgas ability to keep going through the course of the fight after taking so many hard shots and not even backing up. And hospital check-ups are routine after fights, and FYI he wasnt injured. Any other questions??????

Hospital check ups are for boxers who get knocked the F out. Mayorga was so beat up he couldn't even give an interview. His eye was cut badly and his nose was busted. He asked for free shots and then Tito sent that fool to the hospital.

Nah bro, boxers go to the hospital to get checked out more often than you think, especially if they are in with a high-caliber puncher. Dont let the hate cloud your judgment, I dont like Tito but I give him all the props in the world for that fight.

What hate? I never said I hated Mayorga. I just think that it is funny how much trash he was talking and then he gets whooped. All that clowing around and this fool goes to the hospital. He didn't even congratulate Tito on the victory nor did he give an interview after the fight. It's just what he gets.

Whether you think he got what he deserved is a matter of opinion and not even part of the discussion at hand...that doesnt have shit to do with shit. Fact of the matter is Mayorga can take what he dishes out and more, thats what we were talking about....remember?

Don't get all mad because Mayorga got whooped on. He couldn't take what he dished out or the fight would have lasted twelve rounds. That fool got TKO'd and sent to the hospital. After the fight you're supposed to go the podium for interviews and all. That fool got taken straight to the hospital because he got whooped. He said he was going to buy a limo with Tito's name on it from the money he was going to win from Tito...hahahaha That fool lost 100 geez. That's why he's retired now! Plain and simple! He couldn't take what he dished out because if he did like I said before he wouldn't have gotten TKO'D!

I remember that it was a low blow.
Two of them as a matter of fact.
Now they didn't land on the "No No special place" but they were low none the less.

Back on the subject, Mayorga will be back.
The cat probably spoke out of frustration and will come to light once he clears his name.
The cat's from Nicaragua remember? The government will probably do him in just like they did Arguello and take his money....
