if you don't kno who Cormega is, well, you aren't much of a hip hop fan. This is the only cat to ever really rip Nas up.. and he is a lyrical genius. If you are stricly a bay area fan, peep out the Camp Mob Figaz CD and also Tha Jacka's shit. he's on both those.

1. Dramatic Entrance
Produced By: J-Love
-this shit is just like the title, a dramatic entrance, and it is fuckin sick. Beat starts out with a harp type sound, then the bass kicks in and the drums and 'Mega spits a dope ass verse. "whatever lyrics is/ convey such sincerness/ i've been thru the ghetto life of drug concealment/ feel this, and betrayal where trust is given/ now i deal with a few, i dont fuck wit ni*gas/ its not arrogance, its im not havin it" really dope song to intro.

9.0/10

2. American Beauty
Produced By: Cormega
-yea, you may remember this sample from ''24 Deep" by Lynch and "Smoke, Dope, and Rap" by Nicky, well Cormega uses it in this song which is a banger. I actually had to listen to this a few times to understand what he's talkin about, but he spits about hip-hop, referring to it as 'her' and talks about all the changes it has gone thru. "you know the wisdom is reflected/ the knowledge is manifested/ not fed, in due time the mind is anorexic" classic cut, period.

10/10

3. Thun & Kicko ft. Prodigy of Mobb Deep
Produced By: Havoc for Mobb Deep Productions
-this beat isn't as tight as the others but it is still tight. its mid paced, kinda hard to describe tho. Prodigy spits first about fake gangsters and shit like that.. i don't really feel Mobb Deep, but this verse is pretty dope, i might have to check them out a little more. Cormega comes with a hard ass verse! ''you never felt the razor scrape on the plate ya hands achin/ but you keep choppin cuz its paper to make/ you never felt the power of invincibility/ clutchin a gun like fuck it done, its him or me" bangin track! woulda been a lil higher rating if the beat was tighter.

8.0/10

4. The Saga
Produced By: Big Ty
-this beat is on the mellow side, somethin to spit deep shit on. Mega comes with a tight line in the beggining, just like the intro talking, he says 'life is an interlude to death', i liked that. He spits about growin up, goin thru the shit he went thru in the crack game or whatever. ''mothers watch sons go thru the doors/ for the last time, then they gotta go view at the morgue." his 2nd verse is even doper then the first one, and at this point, you are like damn. one of the best lyricists alive, in my opinion. another classic.

9.5/10

5. R U My Nigga?
Produced By: Jae Supreme
-this is an ill beat. has some strings that sound older, and some coo effects in it. Mega spits shit about real friends, and what would they do for him, shit like that. The chorus in this is tight too, real tight. 2nd verse is about the dope game and shit, kinda short verse but another dope one. i dont think he is capable of spittin a wack verse. "i put my trust in no man's hands/ til he earns it, i learned this from thug legistlature/ slugs penetrate ya, the heavans above await ya/ therefore i never sleep, cuz i may never wake up." ill shit.

10/10

6. Unforgiven
Produced By: Spank Brother
-another dope ass beat, gotta mob feel to it. Mega spits dope ass shit, as usual, but his first verse isn't his best shit. still very above average. chorus is dope as fuck too.. "my nigga biggie musta prophesized/ when he said somebody got to die/ my nigga pac musta felt deception when he said do you wanna ride or die?." goddamn, another banger.

9.0/10

7. Fallen Soldiers
Produced By: J-Love
-beat is kicked back and slow, i really like it. this track is all about his dead homies or whatever, and all the memories he had with em, just life and death in general. "from day one, watchin cartoons/ shootin play guns, who ever thouhgt that this day'd come?" really tight track.

8.5/10

8. Glory Days
Produced By: Jae-Supreme
-this beat has that oldies feel to it, another kick back one. its not my fav. on the album, but for the lyrics it works really good. he's spittin about, well, the glory days. back in the days, startin out hustlin and shit. chorus on this shit is tight too. "to all my ghetto legends, wether live or in an essence/ facin fed time or in a pearl white lexus/ sometimes you gotta sit back, and just analyze/ cuz nothin moves faster then the hands of time" 2nd verse is about all the legends in his ghetto. finishes with a few RIP's and shit. tight cut.

8.0/10

9. Rap's a Hustle
Produced By: Ayatollah
-This shit starts out with some sample of some lady singing, then the beat kicks in and its pretty tight. i wish he would have thrown a few more beats with a more mob feel to em. beat is still tight tho. like American Beauty, he talks about instead of hip hop, a pen, as 'her'. The verses on this shit are coo, but the chorus is weaker then his other ones.

7.5/10

10. Get Out My Way
Produced By: Sha Self
-This is a tight beat, starts out with like a live symphony sounding type shit, then Cormega spits shit. This beat does sorta get annoying tho, but 'Mega spits pretty dope shit. He spits about a lotta shit in NY, like all the rappers, how he doesnt give a fuck about the Jay-Z/Nas beef.. "you industry, we in the street" "i'm iller then you, realer then you.. dealt with more killas then you." tight track fa sho, needa a tighter beat tho.

8.0/10

11. You Don't Want It
Produced By: Godfather Don
-beat starts out wit a piano, and you think it's gonna be another slow paced one. then when the drums and shit kick in, its a dope ass beat. one of my fav's on this CD. Mega spits more ill shit on this. he doesn't say any names, but i think he could be talkin about Nas on this shit. "i live this life, a gangster, every second is danger, the enemy is really a stranger" this one is bangin!

9.5/10

12. 5 For 40
Produced By: Cormega
-this is an acapella, just one verse but its really dope. really dope. "the game changed, shit is on fire/ niggas went from greatness to statements and wires/ so scared to face bids they betray they suppliers" dope as fuck.

9.0/10

13. They Forced My Hand ft. Tragedy Khadafi
Produced By: Spunk Bigga
-dope ass beat! got a lil sample in the beggining, then the beat kicks in and its kinda slow but its tight. 'Mega spits first, and its another amazing verse. "laugh now cry later, one i day i might be broke/ and tellin niggas i need coke, shit is real" Tradgedy on the chorus which is another sick ass one. then he spits a verse. his verse is fuckin dope, he definatly hang's wit 'Mega on this shit. Cormega spits another one after this. "the rap game is new to me, crack game? true to me.. accept the blood money, cruelty." then Tradgedy spits again, its short but its tight. Bangin track.

9.0/10

14. Fallen Soldiers [Remix]
Produced By: Alchemist
-this shit is produced by Alchemist, one of the bigger producers outta NY. I am feelin this beat more then the other Fallen Soldiers one, sounds way cleaner. Spits the same topic, about his dead homies. same chorus as the original. 'and i pray for my enemies as well as my friends'. there is a hidden track at the end of this song. the beat on it is fuckin dope! i'm not sure who spits first, but it isnt Mega, and he sounds familiar. he got spits tho, thats fa sho. Cormega is next, and this is one of my fav. verses of his. "the drama is a part of me/ did time for cocaine, knives, and armed robbery" BANGIN. aight, its Mobb Deep on this shit. and they both spit a verse, the 2nd fool is dope too. i dont kno who is who but they both spit heat.

Fallen Soldiers [Remix]: 9.0/10
Hidden Track: 10/10

all in all, classic. and i dont usually throw that word around but this shit will not dissapoint, every single song is a banger and there is no wack shit on there. there isnt one wack verse, not one wack feature, there is nothin on here that i would consider below par. if you are a fan of hip hop, or want to check out some dope shit, or maybe liked the shit 'Mega did with the Figaz, go swoop this. period.

This album is filthy. Cormega got extremely dope lyrics. I think my favorite song is 'They Forced My Hand'....that shit is so fuckin sick! Im still tryna figure out where that sample's from. Mega's a cold ass freestyler too.

I did time for cocaine NAS and armed robbery, since their beefin and all...basically comparing it to prison time when he was on the firm for a short while.
