Or sometimes you have a shady dumbass that tries to rip you off and claims he didn't receive the package, when the buyer actually did. I have never had that happen to me yet, but I know many sellers have had people claim on them.

I have NEVER "lost" a package in the U.S. I had one incident when the package I mailed out to New Orleans never arrived. That's because of Katrina and that they were in the process of rebuilding the city. It took 4 months to resolve the issue and the tracking info still wasn't updated at that date so therefore I refunded the buyer. If the package is expensive, the seller should cover their own ass by adding tracking on their own. Shipping thru PayPal makes it mandatory to mail out packages with tracking at a low cost so all of my packages contain tracking. I did encounter a few fools in the past that try to jack me, but not anymore since all of my packages have tracking on em..

I agree...

^^^^I agree. Always send through Pay Pal if I'm shipping within the US, because the tracking always helps. I just had to change my shipping policies, because I got tired of foo's looking at me like I was a come up or something. I use to have a few people who would lie about not receiving shit overseas, but now I don't. I don't now, because I require anybody and everybody overseas to Pay an additional $10 for REGISTERED MAIL for items that total $50 or more. I don't run into this problem anymore. I knew that my customers weren't going to like the extra $10 at first, but when they thought about it, they realized that they're going to get they're items for sure. Heck, REGISTERED MAIL costs a little bit more than what I'm charging for it, but it's worth it. It's a win win situation for both the customer and I. The customer now knows for sure that they're going to get there item(s) and they can ask me for the registered/tracking number anytime. I can almost rest assured that I don't get a email from Pay Pal saying that somebody filed a claim against me for a lack of receiving their item(s). Besides, why would a customer trip over something that protect them as much as it protects me. At first I thought that my current clients and potential client were going to trip, but overall everybody feels safe with this and business is a lot smoother without the schiesters.
