Ressurection of TechN9ne HQ Website?

I agree, and I really wish we could make that happen again. It's been like 4 years since we first started an idea like that (rapkansascity). And in those 4 years both Swick and I have met and been in contact with so many cool people in Kansas City that could help us make that happen.
I think if we were to do something like that...I could not do the local stuff alone. We would need many contributors for music reviews, news, album covers, photos, concert reviews, and the list goes on. The major problem I would have is being able to goto shows and meet with people at venues. I work nights so I'm not able to do all that stuff during the week.
If I had a vote in this i vote for a larger website if the support is in place. I know I'll get a handful of people who will say "i'm down to help whenever" but how can I take everyone seriously?
The expectations I would have for a site like that would be great. For instance I cannot goto the Panic/Heet Mob show this weekend. So I would call, for example, Jose. If Jose says he will go and do this, this and this. I would absolutely expect him to do everything he says. It's a major trust thing to make it all successful.

i could easily help with the picture area of the site. ive taken tons of pics at past tech shows (still trying to get a new camera though, since mine broke). only issue ive ran into lately is that the clubs here in MPLS are starting to really crack down on cameras being allowed into shows. they wouldn't even let my mom bring in her damn disposable camera she bought from walmart for the tech show a few weeks ago.

I wouldnt mind HQ coming back but honestly I dont see a real need for it. I mean yall talk about contests and interviews and all that...ummm why cant that be done from here? If you go the therealtechn9ne.com you get routed here from there so its not like this place is hard to find. Tech and crew post on here periodicly already. It seems like the only thing we realy need to do is orginize things w/ Strange a little better. Travis posts info on here when he gets a chance and now we have Hawke that will probably start to info as it comes out.
I just dont see a need for a new site. Just my opinon tho. I'm not saying dont put a site up, but on the real If this place was used to its full potential then we could have everything we need right here.

Yes but a forum isnt a site, and i believe with the right dedicated people we can get the same thing hq brought plus some! id be willing to write some stotires and get some pics from the utah area, just let me know. I hope you all decide to do this, maybe in collab with the other guy starting his own?
the cool thing about the site was that you guys could easily get in touch with tech and you knew tech and so forth. you also had interviews with people from 57s and Vell Bakardi and shit.
it would be cool if it was still like that if you resurrect the motha... i know tech's doing bigger things now than he was doing in 2001, or at least touring and promoting a lot more. so, it's harder for anyone to get a hold of tech, but if anyone could do it it would be people like you. like, everytime you see some weird story about tech on the media, you'd call him up and do an exclusive interview on the subject. i mean, there is no reason to launch another fan site with a board where people talk about fashion trends in strange music and how cool they think everything is. you gotta have something special and i think you guys would have that. swick is holding back a track of nuthouwzzze for the relaunch huh?
