Sporting News staff reports

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports Saints running back Deuce McAllister suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and medial meniscus and is out for the season.

He suffered the left knee injury after catching a pass in the second quarter and did not return to the Saints' 31-14 loss to the Titans on Monday.

"You know, it goes through your head 'will you play again?', 'will you ever be the same again?' all that stuff," McAllister told the Times-Picayune. "But you just believe in yourself."

McAllister rushed for 1,057 yards in 2006. He tore his ACL during the 2005 season and missed 11 games.

damn that sucks alot of pressure on bush now

According to Fatal the Saints should be aight now that Reggie Bush will get his carries

And by the way, Reggie Bush is a "swing back" because they have Deuce. That's the only reason. You saying Bush cannot run between the tackles like Deuce can has no merit. You don't know that to be true. Deuce is the more experienced NFL running back and that's why they start him, not to mention the fact they're paying him good money so they better damn well use him. The only reason anyone has any sort of doubts about Reggie being an "every down back" is because he never has had to be one. He's always had LenDale White and Deuce there, but there are no real signs that Bush cannot handle the load himself. Reggie is a threat whenever he's on the field, whether he gets the ball or not. He returns punts as well. He runs routes like a receiver. He catches like a receiver. There are so many ways you can use Reggie Bush it's not even funny.

I say the Saints are doomed now that they have to depend on Reggie to carry the load. I hope Aaron Stecker is ready too because they're going to need someone to run the ball inside and Reggie can't do it.

MARK THIS DAY DOWN!!!!

I AGREE WITH TONY!

I do not see Bush being the back they need full time. I see some fumbles coming his way verrry soon
LOL... it's all good. We've agreed on a few points before mayne. We'll see how Bush does now that Deuce is hurt. Oh yeah Fatal... you said Bush catches like a receiver right? Did you see that drop in the end zone last night? LOL...

Well, I cannot say everyone. (You were on Aaron Brooks jock) But, a lot of people were on his nuts as well as the Saints team in general. Now that they're back to reality, the bandwagoners sieze to exist.

I still think Bush is a special player and will be a superstar in the NFL for years to come...
