The very fact that the Bible chronicles 5,000 years of existance, and in such time 6 and a half billion people were spawned, should clearly tell you that the Bible is not to be taken literally. The chances are highly likely that God created more than two humans. It is also very possible that Adam and Eve never existed and were only used as a representation of how things were created.

God created Adam and Eve and they gave birth to Kain and Abel (sp) right? kain killed abel (sp)...so where did the other people come from?........the Bible doesn't mention about Adam and Eve having other children....

also.....if Mary was a virgin how come on the Bible it said that Jesus had brothers James and another 1 but i cant remember what his name is...

I dont know what bible you read but it states very clearly in genesis 5: 3-5

3)And Adam lived 130 years and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image and called his name Seth.

4)and the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were 800 years and he begat sons and daughters.

5)and all the day that Adam lived were 930 years, and he died.

and to answer you other question, the way I see it, Mary being called a virgin does not mean that she was in fact an actual virgin. she just conceived jesus in a virgin manner. she very well could have had sex before and after jesus was born, sex just was not what brought jesus.

Nope, she was a Virgin before Jesus was born, She lost her Virginity after Jesus was conceived, she had another Son.

Isaiah 7:14
first of all let me make sure you understand that my claim was only one possibility that I believe could be true. I am not saying that she was not a virgin before jesus, but as with most of the bible, it is very vague and not necessarily literal. one could understand it in a number of ways and none of them could necessarily be wrong. and this passage does not refute my claim that "virgin" could have been more symbolic than literal

Ok believe what you want. I'll leave you with this fact, we can go on and argue about the Authenticity of the New Testament, it's texts and origins. The Old testament, I believe has been held in it's true entirety because the Jews have kept it as the way it was in the days of Moses, since he wrote the first 3 books. Well in that case, if it's more symbolic, then I wouldn't think God would have chosen Mary.

I'm going to assume the bold was your doing? This still doesn't prove that Cain had sex with his sister, or that God did not create other humans.
so you are gonna go with symbology on this issue but not on the other thing, NICE

Basically what it says, is that his Wife is his sisters, and that incest was ok, then God forbid incest in deutoronomy because the world had been established.
