If/when he's put in the line up as the feature back and gets the bulk of the carries we'll know. Right now it's too early to tell, especially for the Barry Sanders/Walter Payton type comparisons.

^^^and he'll probably be the best all around offensive athlete in nfl pretty soon...he wont have mind-blowing stats, but dude can line up as a #2 or #3 WR, as a tailback, and return punts and kicks...he can do what u want him to do, to fill that extra spot, get extra yards, and get that extra edge ur team needs.

his numbers might not be overly-impressive, but he is a major reason why that team is doing so well. they are playin like a real time this year, thats why they are 3-0....he gives the team extra energy, along with brees...they are kinda like glue holding everything together and giving the team hope.....

nope and that's part of what I am talking about in my post above....lol
stop looking at the numbers and watch the game..... bush hasnt scored a td and his stats are "great" but he brings a different dimension to the field. the defense has no choice but to keep an eye on him, to me it seems like the saints are using him as a decoy....and its working

I have watched 2 of thier games and he really isn't what people are saying. Yes he has moves. Vick has moves, he's nothing special either. Having talent and using the talents correctly are 2 different things.

Like I said earlier, Right now Bush hasn't done anything special that any other back in the league cannot do. Hell there are back-ups that do what he is doing & better, Look at your own team and Turner.

The question of the OP was "is he living up to the hype"? Right now he is not. Last night he didn't do anything that stood out, except 1 play where he jumped in the air before he got tackled...yup keep doing that and see how long you last in the league.

I don't know maybe he will be special in a year or 2, but I don't know. Lb's in the NFL are so much faster than college and it doesn't seem to me that he has that break away speed or moves at this level. Again he is a Rookie and this can change, but at this point he is nothing special.

There are other backs who have looked alot better than him at this point in thier rookie years.

I agree with thascary 1... Bush is good and is helping the Saints out by being a decoy but he isn't doing anything that any other running back hasn't done.

What do yall expect? This his rookie season in a whole new game and its gonna take sometime for him to get use to. So far he doing what he's suppose to do. He's not gonna be doing LT type numbers but he will be a factor.

Like I said....people have been comparing him to Sanders, LT, etc.....

So I pulled the stats for Barry, LT, and Caddilac Williams for thier first 3 games in thier rookie years

Barry----254 yards 3 td
LT-------310 YARDS 5 TDS
Caddy----434 yards 3 tds
Bush-----125 yards 0 td's

So you tell me has he lived up to the hype? Now I will give you...IT IS WAY TO EARLY TO BE ASKING THIS QUESTION!

But it was asked and I answered as of right now.

You can say he's a rookie, but if you want to be compared to the best you should put up numbers like the best.

Bush is not an everydown back. He can't run up the middle for nothing. All he does is try to bounce it outside. The Saints are doing good because of the return of Deuce and of course their coaching. Bush does have an impact somewhat....

Vick is a running back playing Qb with a strong inaccurate QB's arm. He had a pocket last night and protection. Brooks would kill for that kind of protection he had list night. Vick just kept trying to run. Look at his completion percentage..horrible! He's just not a good QB.

The more I see your posts the more I wonder. Last night after the punt block it was over for the Falcons, emotion was way too high in favor on New Orleans after that.

Besides that Vick led them down right away to the 5 if you don't remember and Crumpler DROPPED the TD pass right in his hands. If he catches that it's a different game. Falcon receivers didn't help him AT ALL last night and Joe Montana couldn't of done SHIT against a VERY VERY UNDERRATED DEFENSE BY NEW ORLEANS.
