Another victory for Martian guerillas today, as THQ announces three packs of downloadable content for Red Faction: Guerrilla, beginning with Demons of the Badlands, which takes players to an all-new section of the Martian landscape.

Of course the new areas included in August's Demons of the Badlands DLC are still a rather coppery color, but the action is guaranteed to be fresh. Demons is a destructive single-player story arc that takes the players outside of the boundaries set in the main game. Hopefully there's a great deal of content stuffed into the pack, as it will set you back 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99 when it hits on August 13th for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

aight i got it,its dope and all,but its takin me awhile to get used to it.dont know where the specific backpacks are,dont know where the weapons are,dont know maps,gettin owned,

i also got this today, single player is cool so far kinda weird. this game hella reminds me of saints row. then i go look who its made by, its made by the same developers violation, inc. this game is hella similar to saints row. the animations of falling, the running, the angles your character turns, the gunplay, the stealing of the cars and the lil missions are all very similar. i didnt know it was going to be like this or i might not have got it. i guess there is 6 levels, 1 that is each area of the game but hella lil mini missions in each land? all you guys were hypin this and i got it but i dont know anymore. and theres hella weird shit like random 300 ore's to mine and like 300 cdf things to knock over, plus progranda signs.

and the whole moral system and shit is just like saints row's respect meter.

Ofcourse the games gonna be "like Saints Row." It's an open world sandbox game made by the same developer lol.. Duh?

Anyways, the campaign is fun.. The online is defiantly were its at tho.

im not really into the multiplayer is much as i am the single player. the multiplayers fun and all but only for a limited time, hella stupid that basically it takes one hit to kill you

and those edf boxes are blue theyre obvious as hell and not hard to destroy...a 'side mission' takes like 10 seconds..all it takes is you knocking over some shit and jetting out..its not like it takes an hour to beat a side mission

like that satillite one..i knocked down all 12 in like 4 minutes.....but when you look at it on the map you think its about to take forever..

out of the 4 times i played online they always pick the same two maps...and the shits boring as fuck to play the same shit..either way i needed a new game.


i didnt get saints row because it seemed to 'urban' for me.....i had played enough gta san andreas

ya check back in the early pages of this thread i called RFG "saints row on mars with an emphasis on blowing shit up." pretty much sums it up. but i never copped saints row 2 so i'm stoked on RF.

@ gas - have you tried siege? anarchy can be a little dry, but siege is one of the best online modes of any game ive played.

Anarchy is still fun as fuck kept me occupied for the first few weeks i had this game.. But Siege.. Siege is like.. Well, just like you said, THE BEST ONLINE MODE EVER! That shit is so fun and strategic..

Gas if you play Siege it'll randomize the maps a lot better i never play the same map twice.. And always veto "FrameWork" that map sucks lol..

The only 1 hit kill is with the sledge hammer or the headshot with the rifle.. Atleast it's not like Gears where u shot 10 feet away with a shotgun and get blown in half lol.. I got a 13 person kill streak yesterday and stayed alive for pretty much the full 8min half of defending on Siege lol..

Once you get better the funner it get's.. Just like any other game.. I thought Gear's was weak as fuck 'till i started gettin better at it.. Then again, even when i sucked at Red Faction i was still havin a fuckin blast.. This game is jus' way to fun online lol

I got my jetpack fully upgraded too.. I Dont think u get any other ones tho.. Maybe?

I'm owning the whole campaign mode with my jetpack + arc weilder lol..

And i already got the rail gun, i stole it from some EDF prick lol i dont think u unlock it.. I think u gotta jus jack it from 'em.. I also got the enforcer..

Been practiceing on my sawblade-gun thingy skills tho.. Gettin better at usein it now.. That's what i did with the rail gun i used it hella in singleplayer now i'am top knotch wit' it in multiplayer.. I always head for the railgun first lol

oh okay, i'll try lookin for it on the edf. also, that super rocket launcher (not the rocket launcher, but the _______ (something) launcher) WRECKS SHOP. tryin to get 1000 scrap for it now. one shot will bring down a bridge.

so is that arc weilder good? i bought it but never used it. i just use reg rifle, rocket launcer and sticky bombs. i got the shotgun but that shit kinda weak. i wish you can hold more weapons and have the game pause while you choose your weapon. game is kinda hard tho at least with my set of weapons or something.

We talkin single player? Yeah the arc weilder is a beast lol.. But you gotta upgrade to where it takes out 3 ppl at a time and only target's enemies.. If you combine it with the jetpack you're unstoppable flyin around midair zappin EDF lol.

and on multiplayer it's not that bad either.. I love combining it with the stealth backpack and sneakin up behind people and fryin 'em lol.. Speaking of which i think i'am about to go do that right now...
