Tell me about some bands who don't suck ass, I've been bored with music lately....in fact, any metal will do, as long as it doesn't suck.

Beer has severely impaired my ability to find music on my own.

(special note: absolutely NO power metal. It's just too gay.)

Dyster - Fallen, Suicided, and Forgotten
Ebonsight - The Ocean Ebon
Smouldering In Forgotten - The Bonfire Of The Apocalypse
Undead Orchestra - Midnight Time in Eternal Solitude
Witch Desire - Witch Desire

If more than 50 people know about it, it sucks.

I got "Dark Metal" from Bethlehem and it sounds real good. "Nord" from Setherial is dope too. I'll give Wind of the Black Mountains a listen tomorrow.

@fershiggs, can you upload any Wyrd? I'm a big fan of Pagan Metal.

I'll check out everyone else's suggestions in due time.

Oh . . . i forgot to mention the other two BM bands which are getting repeated listens in my Ipod. They're both of the primitive, early non-Scandinavian style. Musically these bands may not be what you're looking for since they're more akin to Satanic death metal, but these bands go back to the mid 80s (and historically important to the genre) and are considered "KVLT" by some in Black Metal circles.

Blasphemy (Old school BM from Vancouver BC, Canada)

A little write-up on these guys.

Mystifier (Old school brutality from Brazil)

Also, if you can deal w/ the pretentious language, and opinions-presented-as-fact, head over to the American Nihilist Underground Society (http://www.anus.com). Their views range from "out there" to outright fucked, but they know their black metal.

VENOM the guys who invented black metal... the album is called "Black Metal"

lol, some other crap im into right now = estradasphere "palace of mirrors", kyuss "welcome to sky valley", stolen babies "there be squabbles ahead"...

all very different shit, i guarantee you havent heard anything like estradasphere (6 crazy fucks from santa cruz who manage to fit damn near every genre of music into one album, holy crap its good)
