Has anyone here seen the scam where some guy in a van says he works for a speaker company, he's making a delivery of some expensive ass high quality speakers, and the factory gave him too many? He says I have to unload them right now! Before I get to the job site! He tries to sell them for a few hundred, and says they are worth a few thousand. Really they are some aftermarket crap he bought on the net for 20-50 bucks from China. I have been approached with that same scam in two different states, the exact same shit too. The first time I almost bought them, but I was broke and that shit sounded too much like a scam. I would have been pissed if I bought them and looked them up online later.
yes some fucks tried to sell me the same shit, and gave me the same bullshit ass story.... just told them to get lost

First of all, I don't know shit about versace and how much they go for. 2nd, that mafucka was smooth, believe me, he was, not cuz of his accent but with his whole story, fuckin convincing. 3rd, you don't know half of the story, i didnt' fill you in on the details. He said those were samples from a convention and what not, with his accent, and only knowing business talk, what is that suppose to make me think? 4th, the suzuki was a rental car. 5th, I never heard of Gianni Versace, just Versace in raps and he pronounced it "JOHNNY" not "G-AnnI".

I wonder if there is some internet site selling those speakers and telling about the scam. Maybe it's just an old trick. All I know is now that I'm sure it's a scam the next person who tries to take me is getting fucked up.

You got hustled cuzzo. Them italian cats came ridin thru my hood in a rental van tryin to pull the same shit wit Versace fits and Gucci belts. I was lookin at all there shit and thought why would these muthafuckas roll thru my hood and try to sell these when they can go up the street where the money is at. My mom knows all about that Gucci and Versace and be able to tell a real from a fake. My sister swooped on three Gucci belts for I forgot how much and ended up being fake. They came thru matter of fact last week tryin to hustle in there Italian fits some Versace leather jackets and I told them to go up the street cuzz they in the wrong neighborhood. So If anyone in front of they house and two italian slide thru tryin to slang some fits don't buy it!!!

There's another hustle goin around Sac & the Bay of cats selling laptops. All boxed up and labled like brand new.

If you ask them to pop open the box, it's a new laptop with manuals n shit like from out the store.

But when you get it home you find out it's just a "shell" and nothing in the laptop! hahahaha!

A guy hit me up this week with this scam, so I called one of my partners and asked if he's heard about it and he told me the story of how a buddy of his got took and found out it was a shell after he had gotten home and tried to fire it up!!!

I know of a good dozen or so great scams that operate like this. I used to know a cat that did one where he pretended he was from another country in africa and had all this U.S. cash he inherited. He got tens of thousands of dollars running that one.

The thing to remember about these scams is this: They all run off of the greed of the mark. The mark thinks he will miss a tremendous opportunity to "come up" by taking advantage of someone else's unfortunate situation. You would be surprised at how easily people bite into scams like these

Or so I've heard ;)
