okay. so i've listened to the album enough to give it a rating...i'll give it a solid 8.5-9-10...

every song was cool...except the "girls" song. and the only negative to me about the album was the amount of features...

with that said, lol...

all my favorite songs had features.. "they don't know" with freeway was pretty dope, as well as "scared money" with krondon and ap.9, but my two favorites on the album were "won't be right" with cellski, and "storm" featuring cormega.

As for my review on this album? Jack Artist had better, faster flows, and lyrics and is definetely a better crafted album....I think Tear Gas is missing the real emotional tracks like 'Never Blink' 'Barney' 'Wont Break Me'....I mean Tear Gas has its share of those, but I think not as much....Still a very versatile album IMO....I was pretty surprised at the Devin collab....The whole beat sounds something you would hear off his album, but Jacka adjusted himself on that beat....Tear Gas' production is alot more thicker and bangs harder than Jack Artist's, his flow does sound more slower for most the album cept for on Glamerous Lifestyle....

I think it couldve came out as a real overrated album if he sounded real lazy, uninspired, and then niggas said that it was the best shit since whatever....

4/5 IMO....the lowest being 3.5/5....Its a dope album still....I think XXL properly reviewed it tho with its L rating they gave it....

had alot of driving to today and decided to open up tear gas and give it a listen. the songs i liked the best were the one with cellski, number 10, jacka's solo song, i cant remember which one, there were only two i think, and the one with mr. fab. i thought the production would be better but overall thought the cd was decent. vocals were kinda choppy considering the hype behind this release. some songs sounded cool and some seemed to have too much effects. but whatever. jack is selling and that's all that matters. i know him and his team will be on the grind traveling these next few months. good luck.

jacka can spit some deep shit at times. i think this cd would be alot better if it was more of just him. i cant rate it though. i'll rate it by the numbers and i think it is doing very well thus far. his fan base is spread across the country, not just the bay. definately a solid release if you look around the bay area and what's being released, that is for sure.

is it because theres too many different producers on the album? I miss the days when one producer does the entire album, when there are 10 different producers on a album it feels more like a compilation.
I wonder what it would have been like if Rob Lo did all the production

There it is! Eddi Projex is doing that for a majority of his album Ghetto Celeb.

I never heard Jacka album. I heard a couple of dope tracks but not enough to make a good judgment.

at first i wasnt really feelin the album, but after listenin to it a few times you can see the vibe that jacka was tryin to put on this album, he was tryin to hit other regions wit trax like "GIRLS"(to me it sound like sum dirty south beat), and off top he comin wit that east coast style too..wasnt really feelin the paul wall trak, semmed kinda outta place for him to be on a trak wit tha jack..anyhow its a koo album from front to back, coulda been better though IMO

8/10

I hella liked Street Album more. Tear gas was alrite, I only like a few tracks. Obviously it has way 2 many features, another thing I dont like is some of the beats are too hip hop. I like more of the Bay Area beats, some of them sound straight up like some NY shit to me, but to each his own I guess

wow at the last 2 posts, how you gonna say the beats are 10/10? Usually if that were the case the album would be a classic regardless of how the Jack came on each verse and then you say the street album is harder, so what does that mean the beats on the street album are 15/10? Im sorry as disappointing as Tear Gas was the Street album was real bad
