What alot of you have to understand, there's a difference from an great artist and a Superstar artist, a superstar artist will eventually start his own label and or venture into to movies, no one last for ever. Pac was a superstar artist and if he was alive today, he'll still be the talk of the town.

Mike Bibby is a great player, but not a superstar, Shaq is a superstar. Xibit is a great rapper but he's not a superstar rapper. In order to be great, you have to be able to do it all,

Example: Scareface from the ghetto boyz, writes, produce, executive, known Internationally, he's a superstar, also just signed a movie deal contract worth over $7million. A superstar artist will continue to keep his name out there regardless if he's not rappin anymore.

A SUPERSTAR ARTIST LIVES FOR EVER

Ya'll are trippin. I agree with a lot of what what said. I think E-40 is a shadow of his early days, and so is spice 1.

Being a dope rapper has little to do with records sold. There's many factors depending on that, like who your signed with. Sony, and so so def, and the big labels get the air play on radio and t.v. Lots of these underground cats have independent labels. Also, the real rappers ain't making all this damn fluffy dance club bullshit. They're keeping true to their music. and they get mad respect from me for that. You know who buys snoops albums? 13-17 yr old kids cuz its all they see on t.v. Snoop looks stupid as hell rappin about hoes and shit when he's probably married and about 34yrs old. Nickatina is one of the dopest m.c.s ever. Sales or not. Hell, bow wow probably went platinum selling to 1-5th graders. Its not about units, its about art.

Oh yeah, lynch by inch is his tytest shit too.

^^ lol, whats up Iconoclast

Swizz Beats needs to hang up the production boots, his shit was original when it first came out, but now it still sounds the exact same and every song sounds like the last one...
