most songs that are unreleased, are not as good as those that were released, so one reason that they may not ever be released, is because it may ruin people's perception of that artist...

however, some unreleased songs are tight as hell, it may be that they did not fit the theme of that particular album, or the label did not like the song, or in the case of 2pac people are trying to hold on to these songs for as long as possible so people crave them more and thus will pay more for them...

pac's shit should be released the way it was originally recorded. in my opinion, his mom or whoever is behind all these remixes are fuckin up his name. if you compare the makaveli 2 to makaveli 4,493.. all of the original songs are much better than the remixes. the only remix that i was feelin was hell 4 a hustla. all the other shit should stay the way it was.

A lot of those Makaveli bootleg songs are not the originals. You can tell his voice was sped up and slowed down to fit beats. ESPECIALLY Makaveli 2, I've never heard such garbage in my life.

2Pac's mom aint in charge of remixing shit, she's running business. The Outlawz, E.D.I to be specific, is in charge of remixing Pac shit.

Agreed.. When albums are recorded in certain studios with less "quality" they might not blend well with other songs so they are scrapped for certain projects..

for those makaveli bootlegs... THE QUALITY MAKAVELI BOOTLEGS CAME OUT BACK AROUND NEW YEARS DAY 1997. anything after that is a bunch of released songs on lesser known albums. i aint talkin about remixes. im talkin about straight up albums with brand new songs. makaveli 2, 3, all eyez on him, and there was one more that was a good one. and these album titles are the ones that were floating around in early 1997. get it, EARLY 1997!

any DECENT artist does WAY more songs than can fit on the album and then chooses the best from there....Although we went thru a crappy phase in the Bay where everyone was droppin double albums. And it was basically the good songs an then all the "left-overs"...I'm glad THAT went away

It's normal to record 30-40 tracks for a 14 track album. Every artist wants to put out their best material and sometimes the first 14 tracks recorded aren't all album worthy.
