There are three different versions to the story.

Suge - Suge came into Vanilla Ice's hotel and he invited him to a private talk on the balcony about the rights to ice ice baby, which one of his people supposedly wrote. He hung him off of the balcony and threatened to drop him. Vanilla Ice paid him.

Vanilla 1 - Suge came into his hotel room and outnumbered Ice. Ice was invited to the balcony to talk about it. Suge threatened to throw his ass. Ice decided to pay up.

Vanilla 2 - Suge came into his hotel room. They talked. Vanilla paid him.
