Content is very important. Your words gotta have meaning...its annoying when cats try to be all super fancy, but aint really saying shit. BUT...I still think that to keep a listener's attention, you gotta spit your content in a way that's original, creative, and uniqe...shit they don't hear from other people. That's why rappers who can spit real shit that people can feel, and at the same time use metaphores, clever wordplay, punchlines, and complex rhyme structure...are the dopest ones to me.
