Raiders star Randy Moss asked about all his dropped passes this season:
"Maybe because I'm unhappy and I'm not too much excited about what's going on," Moss said. He was screwing his diamonds back into his ear lobes at this point, polite and cordial as could be, so don't write this off as some angry rant. "So, my concentration and focus level tend to go down sometimes when I'm in a bad mood. "All I can say is if you put me in a good situation and make me happy, man, you get good results." Wow. For a guy who rarely talks, he sure packs a punch when he does. Even Raiders coach Art Shell was shocked to hear about it at his media sit-down Monday. "That's what he said?" Shell said before pausing to mull over Moss' words. "Well, then that's a problem he has. I don't have that problem. That's a problem that he has to deal with. "You hate to see that. You hate to hear that." Moss has 33 catches this season for 455 yards. He has dropped at least seven balls the past three games. Asked if it was fair to say he has been dropping more balls than ever, Moss said, "Oh, you could call it fair." "I just think that my game has been below the radar. When I came to the Oakland Raiders, there was a big emphasis put on bringing back the deep ball. ... And, that's one thing that has bothered me, knowing that we have weapons to go out there and stretch the field, such as myself, but we're not getting it done.
