Ariel Pink has a shit ton of material out there, literally tons of stuff. Do to the very expirmental nature of his music some of his work is amazing from start to finish of the album, while some of it is really hit and miss with the hits usually being fucking awesome though. With this new project Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti he has really found a sound that I think he should stick to and run with. It's like a mix of 80s AM radio tunes mixed with psychedelic pop. I really don't know how to explain it but you should check the album out as it's fucking awesome and will surely be on my top ten list at years end.

Man what a good week for leaks. Both the new Woods and APHG albums are awesome and will end up on my best of list at the end of year for sure. Now this...

I've posted some Magic Lantern in this thread before (at least I'm pretty sure I have) and this is their new release called Platoon. The play totally psychedelic rock that just slays. Sun Araw who I've posted about in here for sure is part of the band but the music he makes and what Magic Lantern makes is like night and day. Check it out.

I swear I said on here that this album was only pretty good to me upon first listen. I started listening to it again a few weeks ago and it's been steady rotation since. I'd say I like it just as much if not more than Shallow Grave now. It's just a really solid album all the way through.

Holy shit is this album good. I like how they try out some new sounds for the band but it still has that familiar Minus the Bear sound at the same time.

Into the Mirror + Animal Backwards = WHOA!

Excuses and Fooled By the Night are the fucking cuts though. Only one song I wasn't really feeling and that's Summer Angel. It's not bad but I was pretty indifferent to it.

I'm really pleased with this album because bands like them that I love all their stuff always have me thinking in the back of my head "is this going to be the album of theirs I think sucks?" Not the case at all here. It's really fucking good upon my first listen through and then going back and revisiting songs that stood out to me.
