Who gives a fuck really? Yep, it's sad that some little girl died 10 years ago, but there are more important things going on in the world right now that the media (purposely) does not focus on (i.e. the disastrous Iraq war, the fraudulent US/Britain bomb plot, the Israeli/Lebanese conflict, Darfur, etc. etc. etc.).

Amerika's obsession with sex scandals or sex crimes with the lives of rich or famous people and the fascination with the wealthy/celebrities in general is sickening (lacy Peterson, OJ, Chandra Levy, Michael Jackson, etc.). We have channels dedicated solely to the rich/famous that provide us with details from everything to what kind of cars they drive to what kind of food they eat and what kind of toilets they shit in.

Yep, some rich families’ daughter died. Wow, I’m so sad, but what about the thousands of working class children that disappear or are raped/murdered every day w/o even a mention of it in the local papers?

I live in germany and even though i dont watch much tv it's not hard to see how we have adapted all the bullshit that is coming from the US.
We used to have two music channels, the other one was bought by mtv.
The whole programm was changed, the channel has become a 24/7 CelebUncensordThelifeofWhateverthefuck channel.
And Kids watch that shit.
They are getting distracted from what is really going on in the world and what is really important to them.

The media should be a free and objective tool of information and education for everyone, however in these days it is controlled by the government and other people who are pulling the strings, people who do not care for the collective.

wether or not the parents had something to do with it...who in the fuck dresses their 6 yr old in grown womans clothes and puts makeup on her, these pageants seem like some softcore kiddie porn to me, i understand why parents would do this for money, some sort of self worth living out life through little kids but this shit is ridiculous...make up, adult clothes, primping like little miss universes...but thats rich folks for you, not saying their all rich but these knucklehead parents im willing more than a few use it to be in the elite social class, thats what i see when i see this shit, some gorwn folks using their kids to gain status and money...its a shame that it happened, but those are some terrible parents if you ask me, youre telling me kids want to do this shit...its a lot of work to be at the top in those things, youre telling me kids would rather take lessons on how to be a lady than play in the fucking park?

and i agree with the media not being used wisely in society...i read somehwere that the ratio of iraquis (civs included) compared to the us soldier death toll in iraq is something like 20:1 or some proposterous number like that...why do we alwasy hear about the 3 us soldiers dying form some al quaeda bus bomb but not about the innocent civs dying at the hands of our govt?

its a white world we live in, id think we wouldnt be surprised by the evil devil men pushing us aside by now.

I also agree with the above people: If you don't report on every single rape or murder case in the entire country, you shouldn't bother following a single one. Not one. None.

Let's instead have a 24/7 Working Class/Proletariat News channel, where all day the only thing the guests/anchors do is sit around and bitch about how much better things would be if we had Universal Healthcare, "Family Wage" Jobs, Energy Independence, a Socialist Dictatorship, Free College Education, etc. etc. Sounds like an incredible idea to me!

If you want McDonalds......there is McDonalds. If you want Subway, there's that too. If Subway still isn't healthy enough for your whiny ass, here's a novel concept: MAKE YOUR OWN FUCKING FOOD AHEAD OF TIME. Don't even sit there and act like y'all have never turned the channel from the History channel or C-Span, straight to ESPN or MTV, the second you had a friend come to your house to hang out.....
