Not that bad of a signing at all for the fade.

he's a good runner, but really need the holes to get through.. lets see if they can help him out.

Damn good pick up. I am very impressed with the Raiders this offseason. Now if Newberry could remain fully healthy, Rhodes will have some holes to run through. I like his running style.. he doesn't hesitate... he hits the whole hard. Jordan hesitate's and Fargas outruns his blockers.

Now we don't have to draft a running back in the second round. If Randy Moss stays we don't have to draft a receiver. So with our second round pick, we could draft and offensive lineman now. And our second round pick is like pick 33 or something. Not bad...

Damn good signing!

Now who says we're not going to be contenders next year? It's wide open! Any one of the 32 teams can contend next year. The teams that think they're years away from contending obviously won't contend. The Raiders aren't one of them. We'll be back in the mix this upcoming season. I believe so...

I still say so...your rb's are only has good as your o-line, and your rookie qb's are only has good as your rb and o-line.

all I know this is only gonna help our offense.... The D will continue to become one of the best.. just get this offense going and anything can happen.. I doubt we'll be instant contenders with a rookie QB tho.. but ayee look at Pittsburgh Big Ben helped them a lot

^ok... We're still working on that o-line. We won't give up as many sacks as last year and our running backs should get more yards. We'll improve... There's plenty of room to improve over Fart Shell's offense. Now if we could keep Randy Moss, draft Russell, and then draft an offense lineman in the second round things will look pretty good in Oakland. Hopefully those things will happen.

Ain't no tellin'... Rookie QB's make mistakes just like veteran QB's. Look at Grossman in the SB. Look how McNair did against the Colts in the playoffs. Hopefully he'll be our qb. I am going to take that "rookie" label off because he could come in and out perform some veteran Qb's. Vince played pretty good last year and so did Cutler and Lienhart. And Russell has a better arm than all three of those QB's (Cutler could give him some competition though)... so we'll see.

As long as he doesn't come in and perform like Alex Smith (1 TD vs 11 INT's about 5 or 6 lost fumbles) we'll be ok.

hes only effective in the 2-back system and wont be able to carry the offense on his own....if one of your current RBs can step it up and share carrys with him he will be more effective...hes a home run hitter and isnt very consintint on every down...i wanted the titans to give him a deal to be behind white but i guess it wasnt meant to be......i guess we will see what he will do with the raiders

If he was the second best running back behind Bush he would have shown what he was about last season. He's garbage and overrated.... he embarrased himself at the combine... didn't run the 40 yard dash. And how many times did he hit 225? That fool is weak. Rhodes is way better than that bum White.

I only watch a little college football. I seen fat boy (Lendale White) get stuffed on that 4th and 1 when they (USC) played against Texas and Vince Young came back on y'all. He also only hit 225 on the bench 15 times while Bush hit 24 reps. For someone heavy as White he should have cranked out more reps. He's lazy and weak. 15 reps for a powerback? Brady Quinn repped more than that at the combine and he's a QB.
