well I would say that would be a smart move for oakland....get 3 extra picks and I would almost bet Russell is still there for the talking, which in return they could offer him a little less money since it's not at the #1 overall pick.

Russell will not be there at number 4. If the Raiders really want Russell then they shouldn't gamble. I think he'll be gone by the 3rd pick if Detroit doesn't take him with the 2nd pick. I think Cleveland has shown that they maybe interested.
I don't know if trading down would be a smart move for Oakland. They've already signed three free agent linemen so they're in the process of addressing their o-line.

I knew you were going to pop up and put your funnystyle signature in this post....
Just because I think the Raiders should stay put and draft Russell doesn't mean I am hugging the mans nuts. Talk football or take your man sex talk elsewhere (like a 49er thread) because all that kind of talk is gettin' old for real.
LOL, I'm just saying man. Can you please think about this though, the Raiders would get a few extra picks to get more young talent either on the OL or anywhere else needed. At the 4th pick, they still get someone very talented no matter what. Use some logic and I think you would come to the same conclusion that everyone else is coming up with.
I am using logic... but think about this. The article is all "speculation".... why would Tampa give all that up when Calvin could fall to them at the number 4 spot anyway? This is all pre-draft speculation. You see what the articles says? Teams don't play their hands that early anyway. Those are a lot of picks to give up just to move up 3 slots. Why give all that up when CJ could fall? Gruden said he was opened to selecting Adrian Peterson too.... because teams are beginning to go to that two running back rotation.
If I was Tampa, I wouldn't trade all those picks. I'd stay put as well!
Plus you only have a 53-man roster. Just because you draft hella linemen doesn't mean that they will all make the team. Only a certain number will make the active roster on game day...

Why would Tampa give all that up? This is why the Raiders don't reveal who they're taking and still leave the possibility of drafting anybody. Tampa won't get Calvin at the 4 spot and they know it, if the Raiders get a decent offer I would like them to take it and most logical people would agree.

Why do you care about Tampa, if the Raiders are getting a good deal, I could give a fuck about Tampa Bay. Fuck those assholes!

fuck using the first round pick on a lineman! all of their linemen are 27 or less, probably atleast 6'4 and over 300 lbs. they have potential, they were just poorly coached. i say get quinn with that fourth pick and try to get a safety to replace schweigert's sorry ass. thats if they trade down.
