Theres a good possibility Art Shell will be back as head coach for Oakland. The only determaining factor is who he brings in as his assistants. We should know before the Super Bowl.

Al Davis is a fucking idiot, dont u ever wonder why the raiders rarely establish talent out of their own drafted players?..... As for Barlow and Jordan lets let the stats do the talking........

I wouldnt call Barlow a bust @ this point in his career, He was drafted 1 round after Jordan and has better numbers, Barlow was able to beat out a significantly better RB for a starting job. Garrison Hearst had 3 fairly successful seasons with Barlow in the backfield (1206,972,768) While Barlow gained more carries each year, Lamont had a good chance in 2002 to prove himself, but had a bad year, and that same year, his average was the same as this year .3.8 ypc, I personally hate barlow and think hes a piece of shit but u gotta give some credit where its due, he had a 3.3 ypc this year, while playing hurt, and with a disgruntled offensive line/FB. so based on stats, Jordan is the bust......

Jordan earned a name as a starter this year, he may have been in the league for a little bit but this is his first time as a starter he will only get better in the years to come

thats not neccisarily true, some players decline, such as Barlow, both these players have been in the league the same amount of years, barlow as a starter for 2 years, jordan for 1, has barlow gotten better? nope, its not all on the rb, its the fb and oline and the coaches that call the plays, i will give respect and applaud Jordan for his good year, but its only 1 year, and shit happens

Gallery aint even in his natural position sorry ass Barry Sims does -he needs to go....We need someone like Gruden who didnt give fuck what Davis said...we need to stop getting these old ass players...establish a good core of young players. they should stop getting ppl like Collins, let Walter start just like Eli N sims who were thrown out there and learned from their mistakes

Thats what im sayin, i cant agree with you more, im a 49er fan, but beside that, im a football fan, I think the raiders should ignore all those released coaches, and possibly go after dan reeves, yes he is old, but he would be a good coach once again, another good fir would be Tedford from Cal, he has a knack @ developing qbs, they may become busts in nfl, but i wonder what he could do with a nfl qb...... Walter definately needs to be starting, they need to get proper scouting personell, and make their own draft picks develop, but at the same time, they need to grab young impact players, the raiders salary cap for next year will be around 120 million, 35 million over next years cap which will be 92-95 million, here is a list of the raiders free agents, they will unlikey be able to resign many of these players and may possibly cut loose some other players. but Alot of that will dissapear if they cut kerry collins loose, so if Collins stays, its another genious move by al davis lol, i mean with the cap numbers y not cut collins loose and start walter?

To the guy who said go After Marriucci, that'd be retarded.. Mooch isn't a good coach, at all. I'm not sure if the Raiders run the West Coast or not, but if they do, they need to get rid of it.. It requires too much. You need to have a great line, and great recievers, and usually a QB who doesn't make mistakes. That's hard to come by.

Secondly, Barlow and Jordan aren't really comparable... Jordan just finished playing four years behind Curtis Martin, a hall of famer, so he didn't get much PT at all, those four seasons. People knew he would be a solid starter, and he's proving that. Barlow hasn't proven anything. Jordan had almost 1600 total yards and 11 TDs this season.. That's a really good year. Barlow on the other hand has had two bad seasons in a row.

Moss v. Brandon Lloyd.. Not comparable at all.. Moss is a top five reciever in the NFL. Lloyd is around top 20. Come on.

Also, you can call Alex Smith gay or whatever, but he is a rookie, and you should give him another two seasons to develop before you give up on him.. Look at Brees for the Chargers. He could still be a good QB.

lol ok here, Barlow has appeared in less games than jordan, has more carries, but, has also played with no offensive help, how good do u expect to do when u diss ur offensive line, fight with ur fb, and switch up qbs weekly lol, i think barlow would do good with a better team, and it seems like the 49ers players have chosen Frank Gore, as for moss/lloyd, i merely said they are underachievers, Moss needs to work on being an all around threat, not just run deep and catch, Lloyd on the other hand needs to make the easy catches and stop diving and flying all over the fucking field.

Thats a good enough reason alone to bring him back..not to mention he has the 2nd best winning percentage out of all the Raider head coaches the past 2 decades..

Lloyd and Moss shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence. And Barlow isn't half the back that Jordan is. Just let Jordan get used to the offense.
