and yet swept the first place team. look you are a cheifs fan and I get what you are saying, but right here right now Raiders are best team in afc west
If raiders was best team in AFC west they would have won the AFC West.

Its called the NFL not the AFC West.

They are a very strong team though. I think chiefs and them are damn close and are gonna be pounding the broncos and chargers next year.

That just means they got up for the big games and scouted the AFC west more.

Hey congrats they made history!

They are a damn good team but i just dont see how if they didnt capitalize on teh NFC West how are they the best team.

Win one more game against the sorry ass NFC West and win one more vs the south....then they are in.

Plus people talk about our schedule yet you played Houston and Indy AT HOME.

Miami AT HOME

you should have won at least 2 of those games.

cant deny the Raiders are much improved, unfortunately WINNING is broad, and doesnt pertain to just your division but winning against other divisions and conferences... I see what Scary is sayin.. but still, to be the best in a division you should also be at the top and have the word "division champs" associated with your team's name.

my 2.5 cents

Right on Scary.

For the record, I think Cable will be brought back. I don't think Al has made his mind up yet. He'll no doubt talk to the players on the team who's input he values. 99% of them will strongly urge that Cable be brought back.

The one X factor to me is Campbell. It's widely known that Campbell is a Hue Jackson guy. He has a small grudge against Cable for benching him in favor of Gradkowski.

Al Davis is a players owner. Always was. Always will be.

It comes down to 2 things:

How much Al is willing to risk in order to retain Jackson (if necessary)

How much pull Campbell has with Al.

But yes, absolutely - Cable should and probably will be brought back. We swept the entire AFC West and are no longer a losing team. Cable broke the streak. The team loves him, and that means something to Al.

I think everyone is confusing all 2010 season with what I am saying...I am saying right here right now, TODAY, the Raiders are in best shape in 2011 if they stay the course they are currently on.

What scary is saying is "Right Now" we are the best team in the conference, yeh we didn't make the playoffs, but if we were to play the games that we lost the way our team is now it's highly unlikely that we would lose....we went into arrowhead and dominated a team that hadn't lost there all year....the season is played through 17 weeks and obviously we were not the best team during the "whole" year, but the way we finished is why we are the best team in the division "now", but no matter what the Chiefs were the consistent team that won when they needed to and took the division, we had our opportunities, but couldn't finish it off til it was too late.

Raiders swept the division. Congrats.

Raiders payroll this season = $ 152,389,371 (Highest in NFL)

Chiefs payroll this season = $ 83,623,776 (Lowest in NFL)

From the looks of that, I'd have to disagree with Scary's "in better shape" stance.

Chiefs won the division with the lowest payroll in the entire NFL.
