What do you think? Toney weighed in at his heaviest ever of 237 while Rock weighed in at a strong 238. Toney's the favorite and I'd give him the edge to win a UD because of his skill , but I'd like to see Rock land a bomb and take him out.

^^That's all I'm hoping for. The fight you're talking about was with Jirov and he did get hit too much. I thought it was closer than what the judges had it though.

James Toney is prop gonna knock Rahman because that nigga got skills and Rahman is wacker. I don't think he will last 9 rounds. Toney knockout in the ninth you heard it from me folks. I think it will be on HBO at proll like 7 or 8 or maybe even 6 gotta see.

This fight is closer than what the odds suggest.

I took Rahman at +170

Obviously Toney is still the real favorite to win the fight, but I think Rahman has a pretty good chance of getting the win.

Rahman by UD with a flash knockdown to give him the edge.

Rahman looks pretty good... but Rahman doesn't have skills when is comes to boxing. Rahman has been knocked out of the ring before. I'll pick James Toney in this fight because of his boxing skills. I've never seen Rahman throw combinations.... Rahman is going to have to fight Toney from a distance to win. If he tries to mix it up... Toney will KO Rahman with all of that weight that Toney is carrying. Style makes fights. Rahman has also slapped Toney. I predict Toney will win by UD.

I agree with 714, good money is on Rahman. Toney can easily stretch this into a UD though, and in just a pick I would go with Toney by UD, but Rahman is a good wager.

Rahman fights on the inside. That is where his bombs come from. I think people are going to be surprised when he fights in the pocket with Toney.

The problem is that Toney is so damn illusive, and the guy barely moves!!! He just moves his damn shoulders and turns to the side, and for some reason people just can't tag him. Jirov did really well by going to Toney's body. Hopefully Rahman will work the body first.

I haven't seen too many Rahman fights but from the ones that I've seen he fought from the outside using his jab and throwing his lucky right hand (the one that K'OD Lewis).... but we'll see. If he fight on the inside he's invading Toney's territory. If he stays on the outside he'll win. They don't like each other so they are going to be trading shots....I think. That's in Toney's favor. I think it should be a good fight though.

I had that shit 8 rounds to 4 for Rahman , I thought his jab along with his workrate won the fight. A fucking draw though, I should have seen it coming when I seen Don King in that MF'er.

This is what has made me more of an MMA fan. You still get bad decisions, but not all the time. I used to bet a lot on Boxing and fights like these are why I have kinda pulled back some. You gotta look at who is the promoter, who has more potential for a bigger future payday, and then look at who can actually win the fight to bet nowadays.

I agree. Boxing is one of the only sports where you have to bet along with the politics, considering things such as "who would be a better champion".

I am a little confused on my bet outcome though.
In a draw, if you bet on either fighter you lose if there was an option to bet on the draw (which was 22-1). Yet, I placed my bet BEFORE the draw line came out. So I will have to ask my bookie how this works. I'm pretty sure he will still say I lost.

At least I won on Japan!!!

A Draw isn't too bad. All Rahman did was smother Toney... At the end of the fight Rahman's mouth was busted and his eye was cut which resulted from Toney's flush shots. If anyone should have won it should have been Toney. Toney was in terrible shape... even Rahman said it at the end of the fight.
