pretty black was a good friend of mine and he was a really nice guy. he was wild and cocky but he was always willing to back it up. he loved bein in the streets, especially oakland, the people loved him and he loved them back. he was one of the most generous people i know. he really was. he was also very talented. i wish i could say that this shit didn't happen, but my phone's been ringin off the hook with the bad news. i hope i wake up and this is all just a bad dream. he really had what it takes to make it in this game and was well on his way. i will miss him and will pray for his family. God bless Pretty Black and RIP homie.

Damn...Rest in Peace Pretty Pretty! Such a shame, he was such a talented man. I only knew him professionally, but he was always very nice and polite. Not to mention, charismatic and funny. Condolences to his family, both his blood family and music family.
In my almost 15 years in this business, I have felt this feeling in the pit of my stomach way too often. It's sad...
