Hey so i have a quick question on sending print files over the internet? i usually send flyers to print myself so ive never had a problem with this, but i had to send a flyer to a client through an email and she cant seem to view it (it always comes up as a red x in my email) i send it as the print size, cymk and 300dpi, now i know you cant view cymk files on the internet but i dont know any other way to send it to her as an attachment...

could it be the email server im using? any suggestions from folks who send their work to clients?

She needs to save that CMYK pic on her harddrive and then she can open it up. Like you said yourself, you cant view CMYK on your email. If its just a quick sample and nothing for print just change it to RGB

ya i send the proofs as small rgb's...

but i sent a print file to a client once and he was able to view them in yahoo...but when he sent them i guess yahoo had converted the cmyk to rgb cuz he got an error when he tried to send them to the printer...and i know for a fact i sent him cmyk...

but ya they just need to save the files and view them in a program not on the net via a web browser...

I've had the same issue what you have to do is convert your images in rgb/cmyk (change to rgb then hit ctrl + y) and that will solve your issue
i know about that...i was seein ways of sending the final print (in cymk, 300 dpi format) to the client rather then straight to print -

i have had a more than a few clients send my proofs to print and that is one of the worst feelings in the world...
damn are you serious...without paying you? or just because they couldnt wait
