Some are, but that's irrelevant. The point is that the system is set up in a way that pushes many young black & brown male on a path that usually leads to jail or death. Yes you have the choice to go against it, but it's not as easy as one could think and to many it seems unavoidable. And things are getting worse right now. Then there's also the fact that minorities are a lot more likely to be locked up for things such as drug use while whites who commit the same offense will be given a chance at rehab. Then even when it comes to more serious crimes, blacks and hispanics will serve more time then their white counterparts, even when the conditions surrounding the crimes are exactly the same for both. It's been studied and proven time and time again. And if that wasn't enough, juries are far quicker to condemn blacks to severe sentences and even the death penalty based of very flimsy evidence. So yeah, that part of his post was completely valid.
