Yeah, yeah...I was a kid when I collected them. :ermm:

LOL

I used to buy Beckett's all the time (you member), but I'm just looking for a site, possibly, that gives prices and values of individual cards and sets.

<< Is going to 'google' it and see what I find, but I thought someone else might already know a site that is good to use.

LOL

I was the same...at one point I had over 200,000 cards. I've sold/traded most of them, and now am down to...I don't know, maybe 10,000 or so. I've got mostly basketball/football...

I kept all the good ones, of course (LOL), and plan on giving them to my sons one day. 400 + of Jordan, 200 or so of my favorite player (behind Jordan) Gary Payton...shit like that. Quite a few rare collectible cards, a few sets...I would be set if Griffey hadn't gotten hurt so fucking much; I've got 2 complete sets from his rookie year...and tons of rookies of all kinds of ''stars''...

But yeah...I'm looking for the value, so I can judge a worth on them; see if the kids are worth it. LOL

the sports card market isn't what it used to be 15+ years ago, it slowed down considerably when they stopped making them out of cardboard.

hold on to em aslong as possible, let your grandchildren's children reap the benefits...least they could do is bury you in a mosulym (sp?) lol

Very true; I had stopped collecting them around 8th grade or so, and then my senior year a new teacher at the school was in the business (buying/selling/trading), and got me back into it. I mostly sold/traded to him; I'd sell him a box of ''extras'' (players like Vin Baker, Rik Smits, Manute Bol, etc), for $50., or trade for cards that I wanted that equaled that value, or close to it.

There are people who ONLY collect cards of certain players, or certain teams, and will actually PAY $10. for 50 Rik Smits cards...ROFL @ THAT.

< Has 4 of them; thanks, though...

What else you got?
I'll have to look through all of my old albums. It's been a while since I dug them out and priced them.

In front of me I have a Gallery of Heroes Mike Piazza card and a signed Donnie Sadler Best of '97 card.

Cards aren't worth shit anymore really unless you pay to get them graded to see what condition they are in first. Then you might be able to sell them for good money at a card show.
Also true, in a lot of cases; I was at a card show once, and they had some kind of raffle, where you pay a buck and they were raffling shit off. When they were calling the numbers, I checked my ticket and saw I had won a prize. I got to go up, and my prize was a Derek Jeter graded card, with a 9.5 grade on it. Lucked out, I guess; I could have got one of Mark McGuire, too...I'll take Jeter. :ermm:

LOL...I'll give you a half-drank can of beer and a bag of hot cheetos for them. Seriously.

Do you collect any more, or just have them stashed around?

I haven't bought a card/pack in 6 years...

My plan, though, is to get rid of the rest of my 'extras', including good cards of stars, and keep the ones that are 'worth it' to me. So if anyone collects some, or has a favorite player (pre-2002), hit me up; I might have something for you.

Trades, too...

Wow...I look like a moron trading cards on the siccness.

ROFL @ THAT.

That's GANGSTA.

lol@Rick Smits cards

i only had 2 players that i collected everything from....

Tim Hardaway, i have 93 cards from him but i stopped collecting halfway through his career so no tellin' how many i coulda had if i kept going...lol

my biggest collection is....get this....

Darryl Strawberry, that motherfucker hurt my grandkids pockets!
I have 12 rookie cards and 271 other cards just of him, not even including 2 autographed bats, 3 balls and a autographed Mets hat...lol

If that dude wouldnt have fucked his career away, him and Bonds would have been fighting for the HR record, and that aint no lie!

Keep your Cheetos and halfa beer. You could just send me 2 cases of Steel Reserve for the Mike Piazza card since it's worth $12.
Doubt you'd get that for it anyways...

That's another problem; trying to sell something to a store is a no-no; look for a private dealer. They give you the best prices, by far.

I remember in high school, we were sitting around, not doing shit, like always, and someone came up with the idea of signing a card and dropping it in the hallway. We did that shit, and saw some girl scoop it up. She was on cloud nine all Goddamn day. We were all impressed, asking to buy it for hundreds of bucks, even thousands, and she was just about wet off it. LOL. If I remember correctly, it was a Damon Stoudamire card from when he was with Toronto. She didn't know any better. I thought she was going to cry when we laughed at her at the end of the day and told her it was worth less than her tampon.
