question for sellers

Depends if the price you're asking for is reasonable. A lot of amazon sellers ask for stupidly high prices and you see their cds stay there for years without anybody buying em because it's just more than it's worth. Also depends on what kind of price reduction he asks for. If it's not too big and it'll help you make a sale than might take some time elseway, than yeah, but as far as lowering a price that's already good for somebody you don't know shit about, nah... What's the cd you talking about though?

I agree with the previous posting, but I would like to add to it. If you adjust your price once for a person...it "Could" set you up for the kill in the future. Once you negotiate it puts the thought of you being willing to negotiate for all of your listings. Next think you know...this person may expect for you to reduce your price every time you get something he/she wants. Then what's the point of being a sell. Basically don't price your stuff too high and it will sale. Otherwise you will have to be asked over and over again to reduce your price.

What CD is it? What is your asking price on Amazon? What is he asking to buy it for??
What I would suggest you should do is to lower the price for the guy, but have him pay you directly through PayPal so that Amazon does not take any fees. I've done that many times in the past. PayPal will take some fees but it will not be as bad as Amazon's selling fees.
Many times people who sell on Amazon (like me) have no choice but to hike up their prices so that they get the exact profit that they want from the CD. Amazon takes in a chunk of each sale on their site. Their fees are ridiculous that is why a lot of sellers hikeup their prices so that it all evens out.

its a stetsasonic cd, got it listed at 70 bucks which i know is high but i'm not in a rush to sell it so i just leave it in case someone does buy it for that price. didn't expect anyone to try and bargain with me. i just sold one for 60 bucks on amazon and on ebay sold one for 70 and then 40 maybe a year ago, not sure what it goes for lately on ebay though.
thing is, he said he wants it at a reasonable price but goes on to say that he's got alot of rare cd's and he's only paid 1-12 bucks for each so that tells me he wants this for dirt cheap. i'm thinking of just ignoring anything else he has to say, like sincere said, he might make it a habit of trying to talk down any other prices.

That cat'z a Mooch. What the fuck is he thinking offering $12 for that Stetsasonic CDIgnore his ass. If it's that on fire CD...keep it were it's at. I agree with Triple X Rated on selling it through Pay Pal in order to save on them fee's. If you reduce it...I would only reduce it to about $50 + Shipping..."IF" he/she pay's through Pay Pal only.
